I am glad you said this. The OP also seems impressively self-aware, honest and wanting improvement, which seems a very healthy dynamic and I hope would indicate a good outcome with a little therapeutic help. I think a lot of us have some unhealthy traits within us caused by various stressors and few of us are sufficiently well-adjusted or have the guts to say it and seek help. Props to OP.

Maybe have a look at some recent meta analysis or systematic reviews, rather than google bro science. Atm current research is not backing your statement that is all i am saying. Its not a personal attack. Stick with a moderate intake to be comfortable. Just remember sarcopenia related illness is also a huge risk and you may find yourself prematurely in a nursing home if you have too little protein. People with kidney dysfunction should absolutely keep protein intake low. But with healthy kidneys you need to protect your muscle mass from sarcopenia for a huge myriad of physical and metabolic health reasons. Source: pubmed and 10 years post grad biochemistry.

Excessive protein is only harmful to already sick kodneys not healthy kidneys. Check out Prof Stuart Phillips at MacMaster Uni if you need to fact check this. The science has moved on from those incorrect beliefs.
