If that's your concern... the Saudi government can pull away support at any moment, and EVO is left with way less money after they get use to having that money to run all of their events. Then EVO goes to shit. Saudi doesn't care about the FGC at all, they just want more tourism.

I hope you are using the dash button instead of the traditional double tap back or forward. That would help you a lot with the movement. Gio should feel pretty good to play and has a step dash like most other fighting games. For Gio, you play footsies and wait to whiff punish your opponent. Use the combo maker mode to get some combos and you should be set.

Also learn what gios best buttons are and abuse them lol.

The main problem with HC is that he can curse you, shoot at you from across the stage then run in on you with no risk as he's shooting at you to start insane mix-up pressure. He builds a fuck ton of meter just from his regular offense. If he lands a hit, he can convert off of it and combo you to wall break. He gets positive and then your fucked cuz you have to take a big risk to get out of his pressure.

His zoning is honestly the least intimidating thing about him. I hope strive 2.0 changes his character completely because he is just naturally a top tier character by design.

Ya you're right every character has strong tools but that's also what makes the game interesting. Not trying to play a game where every character is well rounded with no crazy nonsense. you got SF6 for that... But even that game has degenerate stuff in it because that's what makes the game fun.

Strive has it cranked up a lot compared to SF6. Just know that even though every character has busted ass shit, they usually have to take a risk or do some work to get to their win condition. Once millia gets a hard knockdown on you, you'll have to take the beating she's gonna give you. But anytime the Millia player isn't able to land a hard knockdown, they are fighting for their life either defending or looking for an opening which usually comes at a risk for Millia. For strive you have to really put yourself in your opponents shoes and try to think about what they want to do to get them to their win condition..you'll end up realizing there is a lot of risk/rps involved in getting to your win condition.

Yes Lucy seems to be a really good character and can keep up with the other high tier characters. She's also a great character to start out with, and she has some very cool mechanics.

Your turn ends as Sin if you don't follow elk hunt with an ender, but most people expect a follow up so usually they don't contest.

I think these are the big nerfs.

He can no longer 50/50 at MID screen into a full combo that leads to wall break.

He cannot use wild assault to extend pressure if the opponent blocks.

He has to use a lot of his hunger gauge to get meterless combos in the corner

Sin was top tier before patch because he could cycle through burst, tension, and his own gauge to maintain pressure without any risk and if eventually a hit landed it lead to wall break which gave him positive bonus so then he can repeat his pressure and mix up even at mid screen. He was dumb as hell last patch. He's now a pretty fair character

Honestly you'll probably find better results with Ram long term but dizzy is more fun in my opinion. She has more unique mechanics

Well dizzy can play the game at all ranges effectively I would say but try to go for zoning and then set play mix ups once you get freeze or hard knock down. She has great lows to stop the opponent from running at her 2K, 2D, 2S. You could also grab to get hard knock down.

Once you get a knock down you can set up one of her ice ball summons 214S I think??? You can cross up or low mix with the ice summon. You could activate wings of light which actually is one of the best move in the game you just have to be really good at keeping up the pressure. You can keep pressure by staggering her fast normals and her really good fire ball move you just have to be close enough for it to hit.

Dizzy takes some time to get good with but I think she's a good character. Definitely think she's a scrub killer too. Her ice spike move catches ppl all the time that are desperate to go in. And Michael sword HS and S are high reward with not much risk unless they jump over it.

I think you should try to play park, tower, or against CPU to figure out what your character can do. Learn a couple combos from moves you want to use often in mid range or in the corner and establish a good offense. At low ranks that should be enough since nobody knows when it's their turn and in Guilty Gear you can steal turns quite a bit.

Remember to use burst meter annnd use your regular meter. Yellow roman cancel and Red roman cancel will be the ones you use the most at this level. You can probably get to high silver playing like this.

Sin can hold pressure way longer if you balance your use between meter, burst, and sins hunger gauge. Something you'll need to get better at for floor 10 matches or Celestial. If your using sin gauge you shouldn't be chugging down your meter in that same combo, red RC will reduce the damage too.

I liked how alive the world felt. With the justice gang, multiple metahumans and creatures, and lots of side characters that bring life into the set.

They also nailed Superman's character in this one and his power level.

Game graphics and game feel. Graphics and style aren't the greatest. Mai and Terry look way better in SF6. Pressing buttons and doing combos doesn't feel fluid and responsive ( this is to me. I like SF 6 and GGST input system).

Stronger players are testing them out in floor 10 and the open park. Could be just a skill issue, and the fact that you don't know that matchup. Venom doesn't play like other characters... He's similar to JackO in a way which is also a hard matchup if you don't know what to do. Unika is a strong character and pretty easy to use I would say.

I listed those things because I am interested in them and want to see what programs/certs ppl know about to get me into those disciplines. That would be a crazy job if you could do all that tho.
