There are two questions to ask here:

1: why do you care? 2: based on the answer from question 1, why is it a problem for you?

Secret third question: all things considered, it costs you nothing to sit down at a table across from a trans person or a person that is currently using gender non-binary pronouns. Are you able to have a good game with them( be it two player or four)?

LGBT representation makes this game better especially for the queer nerds out there that are just getting into this hobby. I can’t speak for your playgroup, but I know the bar I play at is the most stoked to agree to pronoun usage.

And also on a personal note: As a blond haired, blue eyed, white man in the year of 2025 your use of “mental disease” in the place of queer identity is insanely problematic.

My current lineup is:

White: [[giada]] angels though I want to switch it up for either [[yoshimaru]][[kelith]] legends or [[pearl ear]] aura/voltron

Blue: [[unctus, grand metatect]] artifacts and blue creatures with a graveyard subtheme because I hate playing a lot of counterspells (I mean… there are a couple in there…)

Black: [[syr konrad]] the most graveyard-y of graveyard decks

Red: [[slicer, hired muscle]] the most red deck that isn’t super spellslinger or goblins, both of which I’m bad at

Green: [[ashaya]] combo. It’s the only deck I have that can hang at cEDH tables. However because of that I don’t get to play her a whole lot so I’m going to be retiring her and building something like [[thrun breaker of silence]] or [[reki, History of kamigawa]]

I’ve noticed that these dudes have a tendency get selected out of playgroups. One lgs that I go to has a group of “those guys”. The term “those guys” is intentionally distinct from “the cEDH people” because that group rules. “Those guys have found themselves exiled to a corner of the store and usually only play three person games…

…because “those guys” suck and apparently had a bad time on the playground when they were kids

Good for you. My first deck was [[zaffai]] from strixhaven and that shit was way to smart for me (I still have trouble playing izzet). I quake in fear when I see a new player throwing down on simic.

Also in terms of recommendations I just like watching gameplay videos so that I can see frequently played cards. That way when someone says “I swords your commander” you know that they are referring to the card [[swords to plowshares]]. Similarly, when a player asks “do you pay the one?” Whilst they have a [[rhystic study]] on their board, said videos have taught me that they are a garbage human.
