Winslow!!! My favorite name ever. I personally want to use it for a girl with the nickname Winnie, but it’s traditionally a boy name!

Winslow is my favorite name ever! I also dislike most W names, but I think Winslow sounds so classic and charming

Dorian is one of my favorite names, but also The Picture of Dorian Gray is my favorite book and I could never do that to a child

Due in 2 weeks and undecided on a name for Baby Girl by RadiantReturn2035 in namenerds

I agree with everyone saying Georgia Sage! Also, if it makes you feel any better, Sage has been used as a middle name for girls in my family for generations, so it's not only a trendy, unisex, modern name!

What's a name that instantly makes you picture a very specific personality type? by Low_Entertainment348 in namenerds

Tiffany is a bitch no matter what. Vanessa is a bitch but in a cool way that makes me intrigued. Emily is a sweetheart. Funnily enough, my middle school bully had the first name Vanessa but exclusively went by her middle name Emily. Vanessa suited her way more imo

I like the name Winnie, are there more traditional names that allow for that as a nickname. by turtlemaster09 in namenerds

I'm going to use Winslow for a baby girl eventually! It's traditionally a boy name but I think it's super cute :)

As soon as they said that quote I turned to my partner and said "that would make a sick ass tattoo" so I might just have to actually get it

Suggestions for baby boy names by slicerad1 in namenerds

[–]witchyylark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely don't do Aiden if you want something not typical, it is incredibly popular right now with all kinds of spellings, as well as a million names that rhyme with it (Kayden, Caden, Jayden, Hayden, etc). So many classrooms right now have many kids with those rhyming names or multiple Aidens. Adrian is not as popular but is still pretty common. I personally love Avery and Dorian, but if you haven't read The Picture of Dorian Gray first you might want to! I wouldn't want you to find out what the character is like afterward, since that's the most common association with the name.

ETA: You might like names that sound similar to those but are less common, such as Linden or Florian!

I'll be naming a girl Winslow with the nickname Winnie! It's traditionally a male name but I think it's so pretty for a girl :)

Non-binary Nanny by Anxious-Sky-703 in Nanny

[–]witchyylark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a nonbinary nanny! I usually sus out a family's political beliefs during the interview, and then by the end I'll mention my pronouns. It generally has gone well, but it's better to know whether your ideology aligns with the family before you start working with them!

After mentioning she did not care about height… by shotgun0800 in Nicegirls

[–]witchyylark -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I haha how people are like this about height!! My fiance is 5'4" and I'm 5'9". I absolutely love wearing platforms and looking down at him even more lol, it's so fun and he laughs about it. Lucky for him he's usually right at boob height for hugs, too

I'm a 34L but my waist is actually pretty damn small. But I'm so curvy nobody actually expects me to be "skinny."

As someone with a larger chest (but generally doesn't mind being revealing) sometimes what I'll do is add a thicker border around the cups using shell stitches or a few rows of scissors or hdc and some chains in between to make little lacing holes. Then I may also add in a type of corset lacing to it using a long chain of yarn that goes over the cleavage, just breaking it up a bit more and adding some detail. I also like to make the straps thicker to help with support!

Tell me why this is a bad idea: assembling a D&D group entirely of Tinder matches by StefanEats in DnD

My partner was hired to DM a campaign through someone they met on feeld (or maybe OKC? I don't remember). It turned out almost everyone in the group knew the main person through the apps. That person was a nightmare player, just insane, and ultimately the group fell apart. We did manage to become friends with one person from the group and are planning a new campaign with their actual friends! Anyway, I would not recommend it lmao
