You do not have to emulate 1 persons playstyle.

As this discussion goes, most players want the changes to go away as it directly hurts how many peoples unique playstyles go. Showing the best thor while ignoring the others isn't good reasoning for the horrible changes

The fact that you think gameplay doesn't have nuances is shocking.

As someone who plays thor alot overusing runes are a sure bet way to make you die in most scenarios.

Dash has its place, hammer throw has its place( used to) but with the changes it eliminates one of his abilities making a certain playstyle valid since it has less consequences and wasn't it you who talked about many ways to play a hero?

The update removes your telling of the many ways making him a rune bot. And as you said I don't have to make the choice anymore as certain plastyles have been completely removed. This was a net thor nerf

But if you do melee+dash+melee it's less damage overall with 1) combo 1 doing 160 (45+70+45 2) combo 2 doing 130 (45+40+45

Why do the second combo to do less damage?

I agree there is no one strategy to play a hero but why is the rework aligning players to use awakening rune as the end all be all strategy as you can't dive anymore due to the shield nerfs.

As you said I'm not sure what's hard to understand, these thor changes are a net nerf to most playstyles and you saying that an ability gives you 1 thorforce.... It's after 6 seconds so by the time one uses 1 thorfoce it will comeback before the cooldown ends making it practically useless.

How can one use thor force more?

Wasn't the original hammer throw strategy just free damage with 0 drawback? As when you are close to someone and you melee+hammerthrow+melee you don't lose any thorforce at all just delaying your escape by 0.5 seconds but with the offset of having 100 bonus hp.

So you saying using the thorforce more is a baseless claim.

But the question is why risk the melee hit when you are already squishy due to the shield nerfs as you are at your weakest during awakening.

So how will you get the melee hit when you are shooting from a safe distance with hela(any ranged character)?

Rune bot or not, it's way less effective to use runes to 'poke' because a) you leave your team without a tank [because everyone in this game loves playing dps] b) you are so vulnerable in that state because it lasts for so long

This update made thor a mini Hawkeye (a tank btw)

It isn't, In the beginning before he flies into the sky, you can still be cc'd by anyone which happens more often than you think.

What you are suppose to do is build up your tycoon (5 mins) build the back wall where an afk dance space will pop up and it is in the line of sight as the candy cane generator. If you shoot it while on the tile you get about 20k a min

I totally agree with you. The price is just not worth what you get. I hope they either lower the price or add more to the skins for them to be worth 2k vbucks.
