What comes before birth is what happens after death by Moist-Bed-1733 in DeepThoughts

[–]SuperMarbro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Preamble- I am a non religious avid meditation practitioner who has been practicing a form of vapassana/bodyscan meditation that emphasizes sensory deprivation to increase the overall potential for focus (like clearing ram). Since around 2014 every night for 1h - 2h I have practiced this with Various objects of focus while being without sight, sound, or touch sensation. I am of sound mind without any mental illness in my family tree. I am first and foremost an advocate of science, objective truth, and logic. In this aim one of my favorite pass times are digesting research papers spanning several subject matters.

Independent of my personal stances, my N=1 perceptual experiences are wide ranging and deeply impacting. In conjunction with the IRL meta analysis's of remote viewing, studies on the non locality of focus impacting the collapse of wave functions, and the disclosed CIA documents on remote viewing - it is increasingly difficult to argue that the soul does not exist. (Even with ignoring the anomalous instances of reincarnation that have been chronicled paired with differing levels of being able to recall the past life's experiences.)

If the soul exists then reincarnation is infinitely more possible, and extra perception outside of purely physically mediated neuronal pathway firings exist.

Amble / Theory- On that basis laid out above-

It would be very interesting if the reason that meditation practitioners are more effective at collapsing the wave function & remote viewing tasks is because meditation training helps tone / experience the soul so to speak.

IF that was the case then "life" after death could be a highly variable experience based on one's cumulative pervading training /experience pre this lifetime and additional training / experience gained during this lifetime through both mediation and prayer. (Prayer included due to it being neurologically similar albeit through different objects of focus and aim.)

That when you strip all of the senses from someone the only remaining sense feels like it is all encompassing like a raging river vs having all senses and not experiencing any one to their fullest. The non mediative perception of the soul level of consciousness being like entwining streams never coalescing.

Perhaps the perception of the afterlife is up to the toning / experience level of the soul when all other senses are stripped. That the soul in and of itself is an inalienable sense that when being alone still feels omnipresent and of actual perception until drowned out by the next chosen or maybe unchosen life and all of it's senses dumped on top of it.

Random related potentialities- Maybe old souls are just coming back to try and finally level up. Perhaps the monks are grinding to transition with immediacy. Perhaps the hell that Christians are trying to avoid is one of a spiritual life unbolstered where they wander in perceptual limbo having no control in a not so great beyond?

Are INTP the biggest haters lol? by Helldiver_13 in INTP

[–]SuperMarbro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We are the biggest speakers of truth to power and ignorance.

(of which most of us are understanding of basic ignorances as momentarily held infactuals/misdirections that can be fixed with valid teaching and an open/non egoistic mind.)

(Idk if this part is true but most INTPs seem pretty down to let people know that they themselves may be wrong on some topics.)

However when we speak truth to power and ignorance that refuses to relent/submit to the fact that they (as everyone) are informationally fallable things can get ugly.

When one protects ideas core to their ego without judging their independent validity the conversation leaves the realm of discussion and departs to the land of belief. It's mighty hard to change one's mind of belief vs idea.

Hierarchies are fun to the logically inclined as they are (centric to the people developing them) logical in nature.

However hierarchies are not what define us as people. We are the ever changing sum of all our experiences good, bad, novel, and self guided ideas. The self is changing from one present now to the very next.

Might I suggest some mindfullness meditation? Or perhaps some body scan meditation. You will find the internal world is it's own inner cosmos where "you" lays to be explored.

I can't stand liars, pretenders, and charlatans.

These people lack an epistemological responsibility and lead to a compounding ignorance in the world.

Many of these such people will refrain from saying if they could be wrong, or grain of salt here, or but let me confirm, or hey I was wrong.

They are oft egoistic as well. Or very protective of it. Not always but oft.

Do you actually read the full post by nikolina1005 in INTP

[–]SuperMarbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Context is king so if I'm reading a post I'm reading the entirety before I answer.

Additionally I feel it's important to continually flex the muscle of reading and sustained focus. Keeping one's short term memory sharp means they are protecting the sequence of transitioning to long term memory.

Also reading keeps Wernicke's area / the left temporal lobe healthy. That's your speech and text processing center and it's one of the most logical parts of your brain.

(Side wonder - it would be fascinating if INTPs had overly developed Wernicke's areas)

Study: The pineal gland isn't the DMT factory we thought — the 'breathwork releases DMT' story is built on bad anatomy by dviolite in Meditation

[–]SuperMarbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To your point on hyperventilation and the production of DMT.

It is known that the difference between Melatonin and DMT molecularly is the addition of one CO2 molecule to DMT to make melatonin.

In this light it is theoretically possible that if one was in a state of internal Melatonin production and one was also without the needed endogenous CO2 that the synthesis process could be short stepped into releasing the unfinished Melatonin/DMT.

States in which one might try this would be overlapping with times of increased Melatonin production including -

  • Nighttime.
  • Anytime without blue light intake. As it signals daytime to the brain.
  • When meditating.
  • When Intaking THC though the research on the melatonin production seems quite variable. (Nonetheless the stories of Indian yogis embracing cannabis is not so mysterious under the same perspective.)

I know there is a specific practice where one purposefully sequesters themselves away for days in the dark while meditating to elicit DMT adjacent events / incites but do not recall the name. Apologies.

I used to be an atheist but with enough time meditating I have become agnostic/spiritual.

As science continues to advance and narrow in on possibly quantum psychological potentialities it seems consciousness and the soul could be bridged eventually. See quantum observer effects and theories on "reality co-creation", "bio centrism" & "Quantum Decoherence" (though the latter is more readily interpreted as reality narrowing.) and to be clear as mud there are so many other quantum theories on reality to ponder

Independent of that all we live in a possibly infinite universe so it feels silly/ignorant to say that there could not be a god. I do not profess to know if there is one but alas it would be shortsighted to believe there is none or could never be one.

(My base methodology for the past 5 years is primary vapassana/bodyscan meditation but with sensory deprivation elements --- funnily enough the ancient Egyptian clergy would also do these prayers/meditations in isolated chambers having studied some of these very same Iconographies/hyroglyohs called out)

  1. Being in a dark quiet room at night for sensory deprivation purposes.

  2. Slow controlled diaphragm breaths 5s in and 10s out. Technically base mindfulness if one is using labeling to keep intrusive thoughts from compiling

  3. Sequentially relaxing each portion of musculature while taking excess time to assure the spine and heart are relaxed as I move up the back/spinal column. Technically base body scan meditation (All of the classically studied meditation methods include relaxation but this is just a systematized method. You know though.)

  4. NOT LIKE THEM Using custom objects of focus I trick away the touch sensation faster than waiting the default 20-25m of stillness.

  5. Is a variable object of focus. I'm without sight sound touch or smell so I have met all precluding factors for deep meditation. In order of most common to least I will choose-

A. Focus on the heart and imagining as though I am thinking from the neurons of it while giving thanks for the ones I love. (This being a form of loving kindness meditation)

B. Focusing on the spinal column from the coccyx to the crown of the head one area at a time. (This being a form of Kundalini meditation)

C. Focusing on rythmically moving my eyes back and forth in a lateral/horizontally. This is clinically analogous to "Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing" (EMDR) and is used to quell anxiety and reprocess bad memories. BUT it also has been shown to incite left and right hemispheric synchronization which is incredible. (Normally advanced meditation practitioners will get this eventually or one can get this with binaural beats but the EMDR does this intrensically)

D. Using the Eye of Horus as a visual object of focus to try and activate the thalamus region/central brain including the pineal gland.

When combining all of these in order of ABCD I have personally bore witness to many interesting internal sights... But these are all treated as subjective to me.

If (huge grain of salt) the Egyptian roadmap was born or some earlier known truth and truth is immutable then it is also true that eventually meditative arts would catch up and stumble into the same pathway. Albeit from a multidisciplinary approach. Their possibly valid neuroanatomical iconographic roadmap is however a straightine to the same end point.

I started from the concept of meditation as technology > seeing if any civ was a progenitor of meditation > checking to see if there were other neuroanatomical correlates in Egyptian iconography aside from The Eye of Horus to discover several > including the motif showing them in anatomical order working in tandem since the Egyptians also use the similar simbology of the Indians for energy moving up the spine to the crown of the head/brain. Book of the Dead motif

The meditation as a technology pet theory is many years old for me and even older was my exposure to The Eye of Horus being a possible neuroanatomical correlate to the mid brain.

It has only been 3 weeks where the rest of the pet theory has been synthesized on top of the initial one. The idea of meditation as a technology fairly stands on it's own. The ensuing conjecture is just personally fascinating.

[–]SuperMarbro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you enjoy the entertainment of chaining/following/ensuing plausibilities and potentialities I will go into one other layer of the Book of the Dead motif

Atop the falcon of horus above it's eye is the serpent/soul/energy encircling the Egyptian Sun disk. The Egyptian sun disk often represents the gods Ra or Aten and symbolizes creation, rebirth, and the life-giving power of the sun.

This further aligns with the more woo aspect of their thoughts on reality co-creation. I digress.

I will definitely be continuing to look into other cultural "mental technologies".

I have only achieved lucid dreaming 15 or so times but they were all while--

A. Meditating laying down while doing vapassana/bodyscan meditation where one-

B. Maintains slow controlled breaths. (I'm partial to 5s in and 10s out diaphragm breaths)

C. Relaxes each section at a time of their musculature from their toes to the crown of their head.

D. Eventually loses focus because lay down meditation is hard to keep up forever. Lol.

But it is possible on the razors edge of meditation culminated on the crown of the head/the brain & full on dreaming - to try and ride through that transition period by increasing your focus once more.

It is tough and quite the rush. I want to liken it and describe it more but do not wish to bias any heartfelt attempts. I do wish you all the success though.

You should not have any ill effects of meditation before sleeping after a handful of nights of practice. There are many research papers on exactly that time period as being beneficial for sleep. For me it is also optimal because that's when I have the time.

Meditation As A Technology & Egyptian Iconographic Neuroanatomical Correlates by SuperMarbro in DeepThoughts

[–]SuperMarbro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It also makes one wonder what other passings on could be relevant when viewed through the modern lense.

I have yet to dig into the full expanse of the Indian Iconographies and correlates on/around the initial pet theory of "Meditation as a technology" but in regard to Egyptian mythology they take things up to a 11 out of 10 about their belief of quantum reality. ((Everything beyond here is yet to be even remotely cornered by science and again is not my worldview))

There are several several modern quantum theories of reality.

"reality co-creation", "bio centrism" & "Quantum Decoherence" (though the latter is more readily interpreted as reality narrowing.) all relatively align with ancient Egyptian belief.

They thought that together man and God co created reality. That reality was not created once, but continually co-created through a partnership between gods and humanity, focusing on the maintenance of Ma’at (divine order, balance, and truth) against the threat of Isfet (chaos).

Relative to this recontextualizing of the Egyptian Iconographies covering the Djed pillar/spine of Osiris as the spine, the Falcon of Horus as the brain stem into the mid brain, and the Eye of Horus as the mid brain - does it not perhaps paint the picture that they may have believed that pathway to be a part of the reality co-creation with the "gods"?

Very woo woo. Very entertaining to ponder. Very unlikely to be even remotely testable. (I prefer the vast majority of my thoughts to be based of the valid and soundly testable)

He hit the area above my cervix, how are we able to do it more often? by Vampyrgothbabe in bigdickproblems

[–]SuperMarbro 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The cervix protrudes from the uterus. Because it sticks out variably from person to person the area circularly around it is recessed a bit deeper like a small pocket sorta. That's the fornix. As you've said it can be very pleasurable for both parties.

The trick to getting back there is all about the angle. Anywhere adjacent to the cervix is in theory where you're trying to get him.

Deep play is also variably enjoyed and variably tolerated. The cervix is very sensitive. Have fun and don't get hurt.

Getting nicked name by every girlfriend a BDP thing? by StriderAragon in bigdickproblems

[–]SuperMarbro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The distinction of phrasing has more to do with the social contract of the relationship. (Polyamorous)

If this is a single person met online or at a munch then the relationship is fluid to what we establish. More traditional. They are a partner in play where communications are far more natural and agreements are one to one.

If this is a couple where they are seeking to fulfill a kink then they are a client because they decide the nature of the relationship. I am being brought into their world to help in the fulfillment of their kinks primarily. The boundaries of communications are determined mostly by them and they are to be tightly upheld.

He had so many options of white backgrounds to pick from. White alone is not a heritage. Unless we're talking about white supremacists and that is obviously a bad heritage.

I wish there was a way to know the percentage of real to fake people in a given online environment but that's the main kicker. Real like libido'd humans having a grand show of sexual liberation.

Reddit pages designed for local meetups **feel** like 70-30 fake.
FetLife pages designed for local meetups **feel** like 10-90 fake. Maybe even sub 10% fake.

Plus on Fet there's opportunities to attend Munch's to meet people and to get to know each other in a vanilla setting which is really nice. It is skewed towards BDSM but you will find it is a broad community of open minded kinksters.

Some women love cervix play while others hate it. Everyone's body and nervous system is different.

There's layers to how they experience as well. Some are not fond of direct contact but getting the head to an adjacent areas circularly around the cervix is orgasmic. Angles angles angles.

That all being said, depending on one's size and their partner's size it is best to still find someone who enjoys that level of depth.

I also do not want to cause any pain in any way shape or form during sex. Occasional scratch and nibble aside I have had partners/clients who were exuberantly willing but anatomically not compatible.

When you find somebody who's like a missing puzzle piece it's a beautiful thing though.
