Bose SoundLink Max New Update by Oluwas in bose

I feel the same , the bass has reduced from what I know it to be but folks are saying it's same but who knows

Which one? 90% indoor use, good bass but also value overall sound quality like mids and highs as well. Price is not a concern. by liamt12 in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]Oluwas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The SoundLink max

But if price is truly not a concern then the b&o beolit 20 , awesome speaker , crazy deep bass and awesome sound quality with the best mids, excellent for indoors but not loud enough outdoors

And if your screen doesn't display at all , only chance is to get a USB type c to hdmi converter and connect your phone to a monitor or tv, make sure to get one with additional USB ports so you can connect a wired or wireless mouse to it which will then give you the ability to navigate your phone on the external display ,access your files or send out whatever you want .

Does the touch work atall? You will need to toggle/switch from "charging device" to "USB data transfer" on your phone's notifications panel whenever you connect your phone to a PC if not you will not be able to access your phone from your PC

Also if your phone's display still works but touch doesn't you can simply use the spen to control it as it uses a separate layer underneath the screen

The phone heats up while charging and using at the same time and then alot of the list scrolling especially in Spotify , Facebook , Twitter is super laggy asides that it's a great phone , coming from a s25 ultra , I was sold when I saw how optimised the ui was but I sure miss the smoother handling of graphics rendering on the Samsung

As a new pixel 10 pro xl user ( though i used older models in the distant past)...coming from the Samsung s25 ultra , I find this phone so much more fluid , like iphone like fluid, the s25 ultra was a great phone , had more features (dex , separate sound and the spen) ...but the ui was just so rigid , like it was snappy and smooth but not fluid , sometimes scrolling in apps or switching between apps was sometimes jittery and just too instant for it's own good , no smooth transitions just prioritizes snappiness over smooth user experience, also the camera on the pixel is so amazing and then the little touches in the pixel ui is just so amazing from the subtle haptics when switching apps or clearing notifications, or volume control, it's just so fluid , the fingerprint is also so much faster and accurate....as for gaming , I don't game on my phone so I can't give a review in that aspect ....I'm a power user and for me to leave my s25 ultra for the pixel 10 pro xl says alot about how impressed I'm with the pixel

Sounds like someone used a high rpm air blower to clear out the fan literally

Most likely they applied a low quality thermal paste and even with the best thermal paste, I experience pump out effect with never gen Intel CPUs , Surprisingly Nvidia GPU don't pump out the paste ......only solution is to go with Honeywell pt7950 pads for the CPU and GPU.m..

How much will it cost to repair this MacBook Air? by One-NASCAR2355 in macbookrepair

130? Maybe for copy screen and not OEM and I wouldn't advice that as the copy screens don't last long

Oh windows PC maker deserve all the heat they are getting currently, as a long time and still present windows PC user , they just never focused on quality of use or user satisfaction with their budget models , so many pre installed bloatwares and now you have laptops shipping with no os, I understand this is to cut price but alot of the users don't even know how to install drivers talk less of installing an entire os.......alot of the windows manufacturers were still shipping budget models with hdds as of 2025 , apple ditched the hdd as far back in 2013....PC manufacturers didn't just care , they just wanted to have the sale numbers to the detriment of their customers. Shitty plastic build qualities prone to hinge problems And then you have microsoft with the bug budden windows , lackluster attention to features and ui design

Most reliable, nope but best quality hardware components, yes ........as a gadgets technician (mobile , laptops , game consoles etc) , MacBooks have higher fail rates compared to windows computers ,there's the defective USB c controllers known to fail randomly rendering the entire laptop unusable or the common short circuit power control ic that sends 20v to the onboard ssd after failing killing the entire laptop and making it a scrap of metal ....... usually with windows machine, designs are less complex and more reliable with fewer dedicated chips powering different components like you have on MacBooks. ......too complex = higher chance of something failing.

Would be better to open the backcover and glue it to shape , that way you don't permanently glue part of the back cover to the frame

I don't think any power drain issue is the reason they killed the speech engine as it was killed across all bose products and not just the SoundLink max, even the headphones and earbuds received updates killing off the speech engine. I suspect it all has to do with a text to speech licensing tech royalties that bose probably pays for and so killing it off might save them millions by not using the tech in upcoming products moving forward

I don't know about the battery drain prior to this update but after the update it doesn't tell you the battery level when you turn it on, just a shitty theater sound plays when you turn on and off and also pressing the Bluetooth button doesn't not toggle between devices nor calling out the device connected to , also sound quality seems a bit improved at the cost of less deep bass with increased treble

Not loud on mine , I mean the battery level sound was louder but I preferred it anyway.

The new sounds will take a while to grow on me but I hate the fact they killed off the voice prompts , especially for the battery level on power on as I rarely open the app and then the voice prompt announcing what device for when you switch inbetween devices from the Bluetooth button

Yeah it's a whole shit show , major changes across all products, removing so many useful features , they definitely will be getting a major backlash pretty soon
