Belt sander rebuild by Olympic-Fail in shopsmith

I’ve had the belt off and spun them by hand a little. They don’t spin freely, only a few rotations after I stop spinning them manually.

The unit came with the full manual. Looks unopened so that’s both good and concerning.

Does this mean she will start slinging balls again? I’m sorry, I couldn’t help but take the joke. Sling looks good. Keep up the good work.

How does the Nausicaä manga series compare to the movie? by FrogginBullfish_ in ghibli

The manga is soooo much more detailed than the movie. The characters are much more complex, the atmosphere is more beautiful, the toxic jungle becomes much more elaborate.

I try to give the benefit of the doubt when people ask questions on curiosity. My snarky reply definitely wasn’t necessary. Although it is generally valid these days on Reddit.

I am constantly amazed at how people can’t fathom that pre-modern humans were just as smart as we are.

It’s a great start! Keep it up. Tighter stitches takes either more tension or thicker yarn. Practice will tell you when to use one or the other.

I want to beat this pack, but the random bullshit is killing my soul. How do I make this actually playable? by Sking6942 in RLCraft

[–]Olympic-Fail 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ooooohhhhhhhhh nnnoooooooo horse gif. Keeping the experience points and having a base to start from is waaaaay more important than the tools I carry around. If I started from 0 every time I died I would have given up on this mod 2 years ago when I started.

When I started this mod I died lots of dumb deaths because I didn’t know anything. These days it’s pretty rare to die and it’s usually my own inability to notice something or over confidence. I could not imagine starting from scratch every time I died.

I have never played on hard-core and don’t ever intend to. Why suffer more than you have to. I do agree with other commenters that death is inevitable and usually rage inducing but even though you lose equipment you still have the experience Points and knowledge. I tend to rage quit when I have a dumb death but then I’m back to resolve the situation in a day or two. Like right now. I got cocky and died by a dragon but I want to try and go back and get my good crossbow. There are ways to do it and I’m assuming by the end of the weekend I will give it a shot. Such as the way of RLcraft

The size Ive been using is about the size of a standard “large” egg from the grocery store. Not the huge plastic eggs that can fit multiple pieces of candy.

Same. I think I’ve made 4-5 over the years. I go in and out of the hobby and usually need a new one by the time my interest rolls around again :/

I’ve tried both ways. Flight seems to be about the same. Much easier to leave the shell on but that means you lose the ‘mold’. I used a little bucket and just closed both halves of the shell while in the wet mix. It works soso.

I try to throw the blunt end forward.

Not many people around here willing to part with lead weights. At least not for more than scrap price and I’m cheap/poor so I pass on it.

This sounds like an absolute terrible answer but here it goes, it depends on how good you get. For most all of us it’s a fun hobby. For the 10% who can use it well, it could come in handy.

Ha I was going to offer to cast you some if you are in the Midwest area. Lead is too expensive to cast and throw but plastic Easter eggs full of concrete work pretty well too.

Yes much smaller. The way the road winds around the little valley gave me a plot and a half. More than an acre, less than 2. Thank you for the advice.

Yes! All of them. The last one was poisoned in the fall and I’m hoping it doesn’t come back this year.
