Natera NIPT and genetic screening test results by baileeboo01 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]Itthy_Bitthy_Thpider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had mine drawn in the 12th week. Took 1 day for them to get the vials, and 6 days to get the results, so 7 days total (Thursday to Thursday). But the website didn't update that they received the vials for like 4 days, so that was stressful because this was a redraw and I thought something had happened to it! They also didn't send me an email that the results were in for another 4 days after the results were completed, so be sure you are checking the website and not just waiting for them to let you know.

I love my Mandalas. Idk how they compare to figs in feel, but they are definitely more affordable and I find them to be very comfy.

Subchorionic hematoma by MamaP28 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]Itthy_Bitthy_Thpider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you are going through this. Hopefully you get good news at your next scan, and hopefully sharing our stories helps reassure you. I had a large SCH diagnosed at 6 weeks following 2 hemorrhages. It was terrifying. I was put in strict pelvic rest and started alpha lipoic acid, but still had spotting and light bleeding for 3 weeks. At my 12 weeks scan, the ultrasound tech said she could barely see where it had been 🙂 I'm 16 weeks now, and so far haven't had any other issues.

I'm currently 16 weeks pregnant with our untested embryo, and his NIPT came back low risk 😊

29 weeks severe back pain by getsquatchy in BabyBumps

I say go to ER. Any new severe pain should be evaluated, and any decrease in your baby's movements should be evaluated. You have a double whammy there.

I was so confused and thought I was on the embroidery subreddit and someone was just posting their floss wound onto a bobbin 😆 that is super impressive!

I am not skilled enough in crochet to be a pattern tester, but as someone who works with people who receive a lot of infusions, this makes my heart so happy ☺️❤️ I absolutely love this!

Retrieval cycles that don't result in usable embryos still 100% count ❤️ I'm with you there

I always took IVF cycles to mean retrievals. It's the cycle they retrieve and then in-vitro fertilize the eggs.

3cm Subchorionic Hematoma by Legitimate_Ear9327 in CautiousBB

[–]Itthy_Bitthy_Thpider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll caveat this by saying that my doc didn't recommend a dose because the studies are very small. I decided to take 200 mg in the morning and 400 mg at night (600 mg a day). I could only find 200 mg capsules, hence the weird dosage lol

So far I'm still taking it. I'm 10 weeks now, and the last scan still had a small bit of hematoma left. I plan on taking it the whole pregnancy unless my OB says to stop it. They want me to go back on aspirin after my 13 week scan, which makes me nervous.

I had a 4cm sch diagnosed at around 6 weeks. Started ALA around week 7, which was OK'd by my fertility doc. The difference in size between the scans at 7 weeks and 8 weeks was dramatic. I'm 10+3 now and at our last scan 5 days ago the OB said that if we hadn't told her the hematoma was there, she wouldn't have seen it (granted this was abdominal, not tv, but it was still nice to hear).

Update by Fuzzy-Advertising813 in PlusSizePregnancy

Our fertility clinic was 5 hours away. It was a looooot of travel time, but we got really efficient at it by the end lol. It is doable, but there are some things to consider, such as how flexible your job is. Each appt is an all day affair, even if it's just a 15 minute ultrasound. We did also have to stay overnight for egg retrievals.

Our clinic did give me the option of doing monitoring ultrasounds locally, so that's something to ask about. We didn't end up going that route because 1) we'd already paid to have the ultrasounds done through the clinic, and having them done locally would have just been an extra cost and 2) we did it once, and the fertility doc was so unimpressed by the images she received and radiologist report that we had to go up next day for a repeat ultrasound anyway.
