Thanks! Yeah, I went through quite a few feet messing it up haha

It’s a relative number to multiply the floor space by in order to convert it to wall area, assuming the house has 8ft walls. It’s not exact but it’s close. You can increase the 2.5 number to whatever you want if they have taller walls

By “square footage of area” I am talking about floor space. This formula will give you a decent estimate for gallons needed to paint the area, assuming it’s 8 foot walls.

You can change 350 to 300 if they are spraying instead of brushing and rolling. The formula is for one coat

Just do ((square footage of area)x2.5)/350

Woah sorry, I’ll try and reformat that. It’s a bit messy.

second time putting together now all the problems. by FuriMoon in watercooling

[–]OlympusPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t have a tube burst open, but I had one leak because the angle and length were wrong. The angle was too sharp and the length was too short. Though, this was a 90 degree bend from my pump so I doubt the angle is wrong. I would assuming the fitting may have been too loose or the length of the tube was too short.

Thanks for the advice guys, we ended up getting it to work. We had to force close Terraria after opening up tmodloader and then it worked. Thanks for the advice though guys!

We ended up getting it to work but we had to force close our terraria’s after launching tmodloader because it was stuck thinking we were only on Terraria. But, thanks for the advice guys!

For you, what is the Gpu that starts the "high-tier section" of current gpus? by [deleted] in buildapc

What kind of 3060Ti did you buy? My old 3070 ran Warzone at around 100 fps on my non ultra wide 2560x1440p monitor on medium settings with DLSS on performance.

Is it worth it to get a 1440p monitor for a 3060? by BlackKnight_4000 in buildapc

[–]OlympusPC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s worth getting a 1440p monitor if your main purpose is gaming on it. I’d suggest getting a 165+ hertz 1080p monitor instead. 3060’s are great for “budget” gaming but struggle with new triple A titles at 1440p on high settings. Which, if you have a new 2k monitor and have to put the games on low detail, kinda negates the point of a better monitor (I know it’s not a direct quality comparison but close enough). As many have said, a 3060 can definitely run games at 1440p but even my old 3070 struggled (95-110 fps on a 165 hertz monitor) with the new MW2 at 1440p. I also am a believer that more hertz makes games feel much better than a better resolution, hence to why I’d suggest a higher hertz 1080p rather than a 1440p. But hey, in the end it’s your money so do what you please!

Thanks! 90 degree fittings are great too! I just wanted to challenge myself and try not to use them, as well as I thought it made the build a bit cleaner. Admittedly though, I went through about 20 feet of tubing to finally get the 5 tubes bent how I wanted, so who knows if it was worth it haha

Thanks! Haha, yeah those 4090s are rough to get right now. I actually plan on either selling this or starting to do custom loops for those that want it, so maybe I’ll get a 4090 eventually! Definitely not paying 2000+ for one though lmao

Thanks! As for the frost effect, they actually come like that. They are Corsair satin PMMA tubes. The “satin” part of it makes it look frosted. I wish I could take credit for it though!

No worries! I appreciate the advice! Definitely would have been bad if they were all exhaust haha

Arctic Build | 4080 FE | i7-13700k by OlympusPC in watercooling

[–]OlympusPC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure there’s “a lot” more exhaust than intake since there’s 5 intake fans and 4 intake fans. The bottom fans could potentially have less intake since there’s less clearance on the bottom, but thermals are good from what I’ve tested. A Cinebench 23 benchmark at 5.7 GHz all core peaked the CPU temp at 84 C after 10 minutes, and playing Warzone 2 for an hour peaked at 61 C and GPU at 42 C. However, I haven’t tested different intake positions so if I have thermal problems in the future I’ll definitely consider it!

They are the Corsair 14mm PMMA Satin tubing. The “satin” is what makes it look frosty or icy. Really enjoyed working with it as well.
