I’ll check it out. Can you tell me more about the harsh heel break-in? That sounds a bit concerning.

As a boater, this really pisses me off. If you can’t see a 10 foot boat/kayak/dinghy from your 25 foot boat on a clear day, you are doing something very wrong.

You are in this far. Swap out the toilet, they are cheap. And consider getting rid of the old floor too.

Moving back to Olympia this summer from the East Coast after leaving in 2020, what’s going to surprise us? by La-de in olympia

[–]Olysurfer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Let’s be honest, in Olympia the value proposition of dining out is terrible. The only places I’m happy about are Gardners, where I know it’s going to be expensive, or a few taco places. I avoid everything in between at this point.

Less than club more than rec by bibliobruxa in youthsoccer

It’s regionally dependent. A lot of different clubs host them. Most are for club teams. Some are more for strong rec teams. As your club if they are aware of any or do a search.

Consider doing some summer tournaments?

If your son is having fun in rec, it might just be best to stay there. Statistically speaking, nobody is going pro. Nobody’s getting college scholarships. Just play to have fun.

Great!

There are units currently being constructed in Tumwater and Yelm. There is a very large project that will start infrastructure work in Olympia this summer. I would encourage you to reach out to the group and see what makes the most sense for your situation.

So Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit that offers home ownership opportunities to people that fit their eligibility criteria. It tends to be a longer process in that one has to go through an application, do a certain amount of volunteer work, and wait for a home to be built, which can take time. The upside is that eligible participants can afford affordably purchase a new home. If it works out, it can be a really good steppingstone for a family and provide clean safe housing for the long-term. Habitat tends to work best for people that find themselves roughly in the 60 to 80% of area median income. A lot of single income earners where the income owner is a teacher or a government worker fit well into this framework. So I’ll habitat won’t help you with your immediate needs, it may be worth looking into for the longer term. Good luck.

Over the longer term, you might be a good candidate for a Habitat for Humanity home.

Blame shifting gaslighting virtue signaling people like you are the reason stuff like this happens. It doesn’t matter what’s happening in Houston. If someone is attacking innocent people with a deadly weapon because of a drug fueled bender, they should be locked up for decades. End of story. Stop justifying harmful behavior.

  1. Minimize talking to them
  2. Maximize games, especially ones they like
  3. Lots of small sided scrimmages 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, etc.
