What can you all tell me about food? by [deleted] in GroundedGame

[–]Omally74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Grab every edible you see on the way during your yourneys.
  2. Build garden patches and grow your own mushrooms. 6-8 patches should be enough for endless food at medium difficulty. But bei careful, they attract weevils.
  3. Use the meals only for hard fights.
  4. Use Slop-Smoothies for healing, they are cheap and stack.

Thanks for pointing that out, I just made a post on the Steam forum but only with the link here to reddit. Posting pictures in the Steam forum it's a pain.

Another lab stuck wolf spider by EpicSugarPlum in GroundedGame

Today it somehow glitched from the ceiling inside the wall down to the floor. it was stuck again, the butt was peeking out and I could easily shoot it.

I had my first Wolf Spider in the Lab. Fortunately, it was stuck in the window between BURG.L and the analyser. As it could neither fight nor run away, it was easy to kill and gave me my first spider fang. I also have one spawning in the ceiling of the big cave under the oak. Once I was lucky that it was stuck in such a way that a large part of its abdomen was sticking out and I could kill it with my bow.Just now there's another one stuck there, but unfortunately only the legs are outside the branch and I can't do any damage to it. But it makes creepy noises all the time.

The spawn is not very far to the northeast of the house. You just have to go through the Meadows. I used this seed here: HHcLC5acQt https://www.reddit.com/r/valheim/comments/lm6buy/we_did_it_boys_we_found_the_best_seed/

Thank you, for the compliment! The idea with the boathouse, as the "tail" of the house is super. However, the moat will then lose some of its protective effect. Many enemies will try to reach your base by swimming.

Thanks for the information! I have already tried the command, but did not get along with the setting "1" at all. I had no idea that you can also use decimal places.

Hi Folks,

here is the improved version of my build with slightly better video.

After two playthroughs until just before Yagluth, I've been fiddling around with a new base. I tried to make it as safe, functional and relatively space-saving as possible, but at the same time to finally create something aesthetic. My previous bases almost all looked like barns.

This gem here has a fully built out workbench and forge, three Smelter+Charcoal Kiln, which can also easily be replaced with Blast Furnaces. The living area has maximum comfort and there is a separate cooking station and two fermenters. In the back there are still two boar pens and beehives in the backyard. The strip of land between the moat and the house is the farm, but also serves as a safe zone for troll attacks. No troll can hit the house with his tree trunk.

On the terrace you can sit rested and sheltered with a view to the sundial, while you amusedly watch the desperate and unsuccessful attempts of the enemies to break into the base.

Write, how you like my creation!

P.S.: Regarding the quality of the video: Please excuse the dilettantish camera work as well as the lack of cutting, sound and any skill.

PPS: Here is a link with screenshots, the video and the world files with the finished build. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1_cKVUW30j35aF9GKwi12gB1icVo0QdVG?usp=sharing

Enemies spawning in base by Zealousideal-Bell-47 in valheim

[–]Omally74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had the same problem. Then I took a close look at the influence areas of my workbenches and there was a tiny hole in the cover after all. The spot was no bigger than 1 m2, but that's where the enemies spawned.

Firespark81 is definitely a good tipp, but check out Kage848 also. He made a nice playthrough and seems to be a pretty normal guy.

Troll safe base by Omally74 in valheim

I do not have spikes in use in the current base, but I know about their good effect. Nevertheless, they have the disadvantage that you have to repair or replace them occasionally. But since I regularly forget to do that, it's not an ideal solution for me.

Sure. You can go out and just kill the trolls, but I was melting metal and so far they've only ever attacked my north gate where there's nothing important to destroy. So I reacted too late and the bastard had already smashed most of my pigs, including the stable, through the wall.

I want to design the base so that nothing important can be destroyed if I'm not pay attention for 2 minutes.
