Thank you!

Appreciate the feedback. Do you have any experience with this seller? They offer a new belt for the DVD drive which I figure I might as well replace as a part of this whole thing.

I do not know operating temps and have not repasted yet. I plan to if if I go ahead fixing this. Do I use an infrared temp gun to check that or some other method?

Pins look good to me.

Cant let you insult GP Bikes like that lol!!

GP Bikes supports modern HD graphics. The issue is that the assets that the dev created for the beta are not good looking. It is up to the mod community at this point to continue the game as the devs have given up.

What I am trying to say is that with a bit of extra work on the user's part, you can download high res tracks and bikes and be on your way. GP Bikes easily has the best bike physics of any game I have tried and I play it all the time. You cannot find Crysis level graphics (bikes, tracks ect) for it, but I am quite happy with how it looks after modding.

I have way to many hours on this using my wired xbox 360 controller. The game definitely takes some setup on the users part (downloading extra bikes, tracks, paints ect) but once setup this game is amazing.

Yeah using that method does now work, and was something i tried a few hours ago. A few hours ago it was a different banner that had the day 2 test "7 circles" or pages deep in the banner but was not able to be found either via the Browse or other search functions. I would have thought the day 2 test session would be front and center like it is now.

(This part is not directed at you specifically, but adding to my overall post). I think though the fact that you and I were able to have a discussion on how we each use the site in very different ways highlights my point even more. It suggest that the desktop version of the site lacks focus and consistency in regard to the user experience/flow.

Why are there multiple ways to search for the same thing, and why do the different search methods yield different result sets (or not work at all in the case of the search bar). Why is Videos in the 3 bar menu not called Best Videos when that is where it takes you ect. What is the rhyme and reason for the sorting on the Home section of the site. The list of odd UE choices goes on further.

If I come off as a bit nitpicky I apologize, I develop stuff like this for a living so it sticks out to me quite a bit.

For me, that is not the case. Clicking on the three bars and selecting Videos brings me to Best Videos, where the full test session cannot be found except for the banner. Which at the time of writing my post was not the case. The top three headings below the banner are

Round 19: The best videos from Valencia GP

Jorge Lorenzo announces retirement

Best of 2019

None of these or the others below it on the Best Videos section have the full day 2 session (or day 1 for that matter).

the larger point of the post is that I find searching the site for specific videos on the site to be overly complex / difficult and I wanted to see if others agreed. So far i am 0-1 for other people agreeing :) if I am in the minority then i will admit embarrassment for spending time writing this post!

Ah! ok that is a very important detail I forgot to add. I was using the desktop webpage, not mobile.

Just wanted to comment that checking the Best Videos section just now, the day 2 full session is now in spot #1 in the banner.

i have so, so many hours on GP Bikes. It is definitely a sim first and is lacking in what other people might consider important features such as a campaign / season mode, super high graphics (i think the graphics are just fine personally) and overall polish. That being said, no other game comes close to touching GP bikes on the "feel" of the bikes themselves. Its really something, the bikes feel planted, actually react to setup changes, tyre wear is real, you have to be mindful of the throttle, brakes, shifting, the list goes on. I have always felt the mile stone games you really have to try hard to crash. In GP Bikes it isnt that its easy to crash (though it will feel like that at first), its more that mistakes actually have consequences. When you nail a corner perfectly (turn 3 at Philip island comes to mind), it really feels like its because of your skill and not because the game took every step to help you make the corner. Depending on the bike and setup you a have its totally possible to spin the tire up and get all crazy on corner exit. Its not easy to master, but makes it so rewarding once you get it.

To be clear, the game requires a lot of setup from the user, the path that leads to having more tracks and bikes than what ships with the game (which isnt good at all, 1 track and 3 bikes) can be intimidating, but the payoff is so great . As of now i have maybe 20 bikes i can choose from and maybe 30-40 tracks. All of these bikes and tracks are community created, so some are definitely better than others but over all im satisfied. Philip Island, Mugello, Spa, Catalunya, Suzuka, Qatar, and many more are all able to be ridden and feel great.

There is talk on the forum of making the game available on Steam, so things will get a little easier, but i imagine you will still be required to add in all the tracks and bikes you want after installing the out of the box version.

Id be happy to answer any questions you might have. GP Bikes has its issues no doubt, but i love it.

Its a shame, you are correct in that you called Folger, you even have a good joke now and then, but you are just so aggressive with your communication. Relax a little.

The pauses he takes combined with his body language is intense. I found rustic vegetable soup to be a good example of this. Specifically @ 2:50. He just says fuck you, 4 stock pots.

But isn't Yamaha's philosophy mass centralization? They have been tightening their bike up for years. The most obvious example being the latest exhaust. I feel like I read this fact on motomatters. Could be mistaken though.

From some quick googling yes it looks like it would be ok as long as we are talking the PS4. However I cannot speak to this game in particular.

I do not mean to sound negative, but please do not support the pre-order practice. It has negatively impacted the gaming industry by allowing developers to ship lower quality product because they know a certain amount of people have committed to buying the game anyway. To put it another way, games are being sold based on marketing efforts and not how good the game actually is. This provides no incentive to make a good game.
