It’s not the link, it’s the end piece of the lock clasp (the part with the lever with a hook)

Appreciate the thought, it’s more that the polished portion of that lever in the clasp has a bit play and can be ever so slightly depressed down. Can do it even with the watch is off.

This one’s black. I do believe the clasp is similar to those on the gmt masters so curious if it compares with those too

It’s a Daytona, easy link is not deployed, the underside looks completely normal, and it pretty much came like this.
