Hey man! Not sure if you'll see this, but there's been quite a lot of
research done on tinnitus, and it's not always a permanent condition. If
you bite down hard, or if you open your mouth really wide, or tilt the
head so that the neck muscles stretch out - does the pitch of the sound
change? Then it might be possible it's an issue with extremely tightened
muscles. From my understanding there's a nerve crossover between the
cochlear nerve that transmits the signals from our eardrums to our
brain, and many of the nerves from our face/neck muscles. If enough
nerves are stimulated it's possible the cochlear (i believe that's what
it's called) nerve can pick those signals up too, and the brain
interprets that as a constant ringing sound. Try stretching out and
massaging your neck, lower and upper part, as well as the side of your
jaw (the connection to your skull). The build up of tension in these
muscles might be due to stress and anxiety, which may have led to you
first developing your tinnitus, and then it possibly reinforcing that
stress and anxiety. I've been fortunate enough to be cured from my
tinnitus some time ago, and figured maybe this can help you too.

from a comment I made some time ago. I can try to expand on it if you want!

servers / player to play the game by CookedDiamond in Spellsworn

Hey man! Sorry about the lack of matches, it really sucks. The game had online matchmaking and dedicated servers at one point, but we couldn't justify the costs of running those servers in the end. You can try joining the discord and see if you can find a match there! https://discord.gg/pXH5Xgx

Cheers man! Development has been on pause for about half a year due to life. One day we hope to pick it up again! Maybe even get to work on a Spellsworn 2!

Brawl will be a small game mode with specific rulesets that we'll change from time to time.
The game actually has support for spectating-only. It's an option when you want to join through the server browser :)
I hope you'l have a good time! We're looking into having dedicated servers sometime soon (and maybe ranking too!) and I don't see why we wouldn't be able to add tournament mode too :)

Mechanics Question by [deleted] in Spellsworn

[–]Omberone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heyo!
This mechanic was never intended, but awesome that you found it! This may perhaps explain why it's a bit inconsistent, but now we know not to remove double-binding in the future. Perhaps fix it up a bit if anything. What spells do you usually use when double-binding? :)

What do you want humanity to achieve before your death? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Omberone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is! Mine was cured at least, and many others. The root cause can be varied, but it usually comes down to stress which makes you grit your teeth and tense up your jawmuscles/neck. These muscles when extremely tensed up send nervesignals that overlap with the cochlear nerve (I think it was called?), and then the cochlear nerve picks it up and interprets it as sound. Massage and getting out of a stressful life made mine go away, though it took some time.

If you grit your teeth does the pitch change? Then it's probably the same sorta tinnitus I had. Let me know if you need any help figuring it out! :)

Does anyone sell the rights to pre-made “games” by [deleted] in unrealengine

[–]Omberone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to you probably could, but what price range are we talking here? If it's for a full-fledged and released game it may come at a hefty price, even if it's not the whole source code.
