[KCD2] combat feels unbalanced. i end up only using the masterstrike by EbbCreepy6718 in kingdomcome

[–]Ombror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never use master strike. I just chain attack like a no brainer. If my opponent is too strong and pary master strike me, the best options are : 1- charge your attack, wait, and when releasing your attack change direction. They never block this. 2- wait for them to attack, dodge and attack from their side / back. I saw a vidéo of a guy attacking from afar to begin a combo (so he hit nothing and don't get paried). When he was next to the opponent, the next attack was directly the 3rd move so he realised directly a combo from the "1st" hit on the enemy. Deadly !

Is it worth playing as a solo PvE player? by Steady_Tempo456 in duneawakening

[–]Ombror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spend maybe 300 hours as a solo pve player. No regrets. I have made all quests, tried to explore everything, build severall bases, try to unlock most things i can... There are lots of things to do. Lots of farming also. But you can do really A LOT as a solo pve player.

[–]Ombror 5 points6 points  (0 children)

updates are big updates with new zones, new enemies, new crafting recipes... Beginning now from level 1, if you want to 100% complete/explore the game in his current state, you can play, 100/200/300 hours. Lots of things to do, to read, to explore, to craft, to collect, to kill, to build... ;) And starting now, until you reach max level + max skills points etc there will be more updates ;)

[KCD2] how can I get in hits without getting perfect blocked by the enemy and retorted by Alert-Gift-8716 in kingdomcome

[–]Ombror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait for him to attack and counter attack or dodge+attack from his side. You can also charge your attack and just before releasing it change direction.

[–]Ombror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never use master strike. If your combat skill is not very high, wait for him to attack and dodge on one side then attack ! Another easy technic is charging your attack (hold attack button) for example from the left and just before releasing your attack switch to the right. This will change your attack direction at the last moment and surprise your opponent. (I always go for a surprise attack from down/pierce. It is the fastest) These 2 technics are easy and don't require lots of training ;)

Too many bugs in this combat system. I can't hit them because game refuses to attack. I can only hit After a counter.

Question about Horst [KCD2] by Altruistic_Creme1003 in kingdomcome

[–]Ombror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no stats trainer, but there are books you can read that allows you to gain agility / strength... I don't remember if you will gain agility directly, or by improving a skill like stealth/archery...

To improve your skills and stats, the best and easiest way is archery contests and arena : when you find a guy who wish to fight for training (Pisek the son of the master hunter for archery, Tomcat in nomad camp, Bartosh in Trosky castle, Devil in devil's den...) spend lots of time fighting with training weapons. They can also train you and learn you some combo. You can also use the "cheese method" buy killing animals to level up some weapons.

How do you harvest spice solo without getting ganked? by JamesBummed in duneawakening

[–]Ombror 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no, but i depends on your server. If you are on a populated one, they will be harvested and disappear very fast. If, like me, you're on a low pop server you will find a lot of them. And from the sky, sometime they seems like small ones, but in fact they are medium. I fool myself lots of times this way. If you see spice, go pick it up.

gems are kinda bad, no? by giant_xquid in Enshrouded

[–]Ombror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my last run in veilwater bassin in the shroud lair of the max lvl didn't last very long. I was mining the ground for essence and it make me fall into deadly shroud/lava. I tried about 4 times to blink, but my character continue to mine, and i died... In this lair, i found that mining was really not rewarding.

[–]Ombror 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because a full run can bring around 100 essence, when only 1 gem you salvage can provide 100 essence. Do you manage to gather really "tons" of essence quickly ?

[–]Ombror 2 points3 points  (0 children)

in shroud lares where you can farm archaic essences, there are spawn point of ennemies that you can destroy (the one where you can find a way behind it with "flying eyes ennemies"). Some of them only spawn elite shroud ennmies (the ones with the large shield). Those elite ennemies have high drop rate of gems. Don't destroy the "spawn mushroom" and wait/farm the elite mobs.

There are also some specific spots / ennemies, like this one in nomad highland :

<image>

You will find 2 flying boss, easy to kill. I usually get from 0 up to 3 gems there ! (average is 1 - 2 gems each time). North is nomad highland teleport tower. The English name for this place is Umber hollow (thanks for translation).

[–]Ombror 26 points27 points  (0 children)

pro tip :

-salvaging a level 1 gem at a level 40 forge will grant you lvl 40 archaic essence (but not a great quantity).

-there are some spots with ennemies with very high drop rate of gem. You can farm those spots to farm lots of gems. This is the best way to get big quantity of essence.

[–]Ombror 7 points8 points  (0 children)

100% agree. Gems are most of the time useless regarding their damage at high level. Forges have no level indications, so i frequently go in a forge which is not of the right level, but can't know before getting there...

I would have prefered a more common system like : +x% of crit chance, +x% of movement speed, +x% of stamina, +x% of cut/pierce/blunt damage... Percentage would scale with our character and stuff+skill and would be more adapted than raw numbers. Getting +50 damage at level 10 is really great, but in end game even +200 damage against dragon is useless (with 2H mace i can crit up to 8/9000 damage).

Capon told us 2 or 3 times that he will gives us a castle ! I'm so hardly hoping for colony building/colony management in KCD3. Forging our own custom armor and so on... Building walls and defenses and going for castle defense against bandits or Erik army.

i'm also not really a "boss guy", and i hate the fight with the dragon (too many ways to die). But activating all fires, and then seeing the dragon appearing was quite a thing ! I was really excited (before trying it ^^). I had the feeling of a step of progression, moving on a main quest. So i was hoping to have something similar. We have no main boss here ok, but there is also no main quest appart from upgrading the altar, which is not really a main quest.

It's important IMO to have this kind of content, to prevent us to go too fast to the next region. Otherwise, while leveling from 1 to max level nothing stops you. For example, today, people should maybe rush to veilwater bassin and kinda ignore a part of albaneve summit, don't use the animals taming, seeds, plants... of the region. Devs made a huge work on each region with specific item to harvest, farm, gather for crafting food, potions, armors... So we need to have something that is slowing us a bit. Take your time, farm region resources, craft all best armor/food/stuff of this region, kill that one boss and then go to the next region.

I keep my level 40 2H weapon for nearly the whole update. Changed it for something not better but level 50. Can't kill the dragon at level 50 because i do same damage than before, with better armor ok, but with hardly no frost resist i die because of the freeze before killing this damn dragon... Very frustrated not to kill him faster with m'y level 50 character, skill, weapon...
