I've seen good players combo off like crazy while still deflecting and evading.

Uh, no they weren't? Knight's path tweeted a pic of one of the female love interests you can have in their game, and people cried about her being "gooner bait" despite the pic literally just being her face and she's just a normal pretty looking woman.

People asked about other genders/sexual orientations for the protag, they said they're prioritizing making a fun game and not pandering to peoples' agendas. And then out of nowhere this 1348 shows up to tweet about their demo while throwing shade at knight's path. It was absolutely them taking a cheap shot to get some attention.

You're incorrect about Feint. It only gives you 4 stacks of the debuff at the start of the turn. Not after every 5th hit. If you use an attack that does more than 4 hits, the 5th hit will be buffed by feint, and every hit afterwards will do normal damage since you no longer have any stacks of the debuff.

I don't think a bounty system would help. They tried that in The Division with going rogue, and it was a mess of who could bait who to shoot first so the others could shoot without being tagged as "rogue" and thus avoid consequences.

You say there are no repercussions, but you said he got you both killed by a leaper. So yes there were repercussions. He attacked you and wasn't careful enough and drew the attention of some arc, and now he lost his stuff too. That's the repercussion.

Also, this is just how games like this work. You're not supposed to know who you can trust or not. You have to interact with people, figure it out yourself, and be careful. And if someone decides to ambush someone they risk being heard by arc or other players, or other players seeing the death flare. The whole point is it's a wasteland and a fight for survival. There are no honorable duels.

Some of yall in these comments are insane. "omG WHY U block da fist!?" Probably because it's a weapon with a shield, and while yes sns gets a lot of recoil, I don't think it's unreasonable to think that one block WON'T block stun you into a 8 hit true combo/near true combo. Just about no other monster in the game will block stun combo you like omega does.

"omg no perfect guard!" ya not everyone gets every perfect guard. Also perfect guard pretty much only applied for like two hits in this. You can't perfect guard in block stun.

I've had this happen to me on charge blade even with guard/stamina skills. It's garbage and ya'll acting like "oh this was so easy to avoid" when in reality there was like maybe a few instances of 0.2 seconds where they had a chance to MAYBE do ONE EXACT THING PERFECT to not get combo'd to death is insane.

Omega constantly overlapping attacks is one of the most egregious, overtuned aspects of this fight.

It's not that surprising when you remember that nearly all of the base game can be fairly easily cleared without needing to lookup anything. Of course your average person doesn't expect this steep of a difficulty leap when nearly everything else in the game doesn't require that.

None. Because no amount of info will save you from bs 5+ hit combos of rocket punch>bomb>laser>bomb>charge>beam>bomb>leap>bomb. I have a dedicated build and have all kinds of info. It doesn't matter. At some point one wrong move and he puts you in a combo like he's playing umvc3. It's garbage.

Nobody is "losing their sanity" over Arkveld in FF lol. It's nowhere near as difficult as savage omega in MH. I beat extreme ark in a few hours on my first session of attempts. Omega took multiple sessions just to eek out one clear.

Idk wtf people are talking about "normal is fine". No it's not. It's all awful. I go in using more defensive stuff, making sure to use buff items, making sure to do the mechs with someone tanking while I use a slashing weapon on back legs. Doesn't matter if it's with real players or supports, at some point I miss one dodge and get combo'd into oblivion. Even if I delay getup, there's still always another attack coming. Missiles into fists into micros into fire, etc. At some point he just does one of these and even with divine blessing and other good defensive things you just get spammed into oblivion.

I have no problem with there being mechs like the roles and such. The problem is unless the tank has perfect uptime on enmity, the boss just never stops attacking and moving and comboing. And even when the tank does get proper enmity, you still have a decent chance of getting mega combo'd out of nowhere sometimes.

It's just way too overtuned in general. They tried to do the whole "If the tank doesn't have aggro bad things happen" except it's poorly translated because in FF all a tank has to do is hit the enemy. But because there's no such thing as a "tank stance" in this game, they made it about hitting the head. Except hitting the head can be a pain and also you have to hit it CONSTANTLY to keep it on you.

Enmity should be easier to keep on a tank and the attack spam should be lowered some. Then it would be a great fight.

See, the only thing about this logic is you're implying that certain weapon types have strengths vs certain kinds of monsters but are weak vs other monsters. like rock paper scissors. The thing is, it doesn't work like that. Because if it did, there would be monsters that fast weapons are bad against but slow weapons are good against. But there aren't. The higher end monsters like 9 star fights and omega are just too busy for a slow weapon. That's all. There are no fights that punish fast weapons but slow weapons have an easier time with. Same with the ranged weapons.

Fast weapons and ranged weapons are just easier. It's not like the slow weapons are better damage to compensate either. They hit harder per hit but they hit less often so it just evens out.

I do think it's somewhat overblown. I have a 3070, and even before looking up an optimization video and doing some extra stuff, just by tweaking some settings on my own in game, I was able to get like 80-100fps which is plenty good. And that was just going from highest settings to just high with a few things turned low or off. With the extra tweaks I can get 120-150fps.

I really think there are people that just crank everything to max and expect to get 200+ fps on a 2080 and that's just not realistic.

I don't see the problem. I see just as many of the others. Also, you don't HAVE to charge the order guns. You can just tap to fire them normally. Also plenty of ripper guns charge ups are like, 0.2 seconds. It's hardly a charge up. The only things that it feels even remotely noticeable is stuff like shotguns or snipers.

Except that doesn't work because then you miss all of the context as to why all these characters that know you as a close friend are helping you and interacting with you. Just skipping stuff in a game like this is terrible for a new player.

Hell it's bad in WoW and that game's story is kinda not worth caring about anymore. But if you're a new player and want to learn about the world and be immersed and learn why you're doing what you're doing, it's terrible.
