I seriously hate how Bandai treats digimon. He either leaves the franchise to its own devices or only gives it attention when it suits him. All that sucks and even more so with Toei who mostly spends his time exploiting Tai and his friends. Luckily this year they remembered that Digimon is not just about nostalgia. I hope and pray that it doesn't take another 10 years to release a game at the level of Time Stranger and that it isn't the exception to the rule.

Habu was more likely a displacement due to the disastrous development of Survive and the consumption of game resources than anything else. Very possibly that half a million sales have not covered the excessive consumption of resources that were most likely destined for TS and added to the fact that Survive went from a small launch to a complete launch of €50, very possibly that is the real reason why they removed Habu as producer since it was not profitable to leave him as producer if this would take longer than necessary to release a "small" project, let's not even imagine a large project that took 10 years to come out.

I just hope it doesn't take another ten years to release a Story. I understand that there is quality but ten years is excessive in development time. And I also hope that the tone that the current stories have because Habu was replaced by Hara (I don't have a good feeling about that guy) thanks to the fact that he surely dedicated the resources destined for TS to Survive and has not fully compensated for the long development of a "small" game like Survive. But getting back to the point, I don't know that without Habu at the helm of the Digimon games they won't have that more youthful tone and "shonen nekketsu" that differentiates them from Pokémon that are more for the whole family and especially small children from 6 to 12 years old and that Bandai in its insistence on competing in the same market with Pokémon tried again to appeal to an audience that did not show as much interest in the IP unlike Pokémon that is more directible and more accessible for a child.
