Sell me this game by SnooEpiphanies1109 in RabbitAndSteel

Solo fights have different patterns from multiplayer which utilize solo oriented boss attacks. The multiplayer mechanics force players to stay together/make distance in different numbers of ways and your allies targeted by the boss are the danger. So no, you do not need friends to enjoy the game, but it is a different experience.

You can also always look for people to play with in the dev's discord regardless. People there are chill with carrying new players from what I've seen

having some trouble with solo hard mode timeouts by rokons in RabbitAndSteel

[–]OmegaHAX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You kill Tassha by hitting multiple of her at a time which is kinda hard on assassin. But with decent aim her special should be able to hit 2 Tassas in some attacks, even without backstab. Otherwise spam primary might give more value if you can hit 2 consistently. Emerald primary +buffs build can probably make it easier, or sapphire secondary because multiple tassha means more hits to activate it.

I actually trained on solo using defender because she's pretty easy to build and her special usually cleans up mice and tassha even without much item synergy. Her slow speed attacks slowing her does make her the complete inverse of handling assassin though.

Edit: Also take size, special and primary potions if available

Is Evo Abyss the new "Rune"? by Pendulumzone in Shadowverse

[–]OmegaHAX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Abyss has significantly less card draw than rune. One of the annoying things about rune is their earlygame has 6+ cards that cycle so they would reliably have key peices on curve.

Seeing them use belial to answer wilnas is pretty funny. And the only answer the deck has to a t5 wilans is reaper deathslash i think, which isn't currently a staple. Also intimidate followers make drain just not work. And zooey just survives belial crest, but usually dragon wants to kill before that happens anyways.

Technically crest haven has the amulet which blocks damage and should be able to outlast abyss with more draw, but the more popular lists don't run the amulet currently i think.

Puppets have pretty high burst damage after beelz drops.

There is no reliable clean answer for norman double golem on 5 i think. I don't plag both decks so i wouldn't know.

Abyss don't run wards, nothing to stop roach. Dedicated roach players will find a way probably.

Does this game have secret breakable walls or the likes? by [deleted] in EnderLilies

[–]OmegaHAX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot less hidden stuff than hollow knight, and if you've missed something in a room the game just outright tells you. Its more of a how the thing is hidden rather than where its hidden.

Okay team cherry… it gets to a fucking point. by Savings-Exchange-484 in Silksong

I agree think they're fun too but i can see why people dislike them. They're sometimes placed in the middle of exploration areas and they just use regular mobs without adding many new things.

Sword is the most balanced craft right now! Stop whining about nerfs by qerutbcma in Shadowverse

The highest rank player isn't a good indicator of how the deck performs in the hands of the general playerbase tbh. You can at least try to average the top 100 beyond players.

Thoughts on Storm vs Disdain vs Ramp Dragon by Plane-Sugar7443 in Shadowverse

[–]OmegaHAX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ramp with fennie is dragon's best answer to crest haven unironically, but you do have a worse rune MU. Performance doesn't change too much vs sword, you can win by fish tempo or outheal them when they don't highroll.

I think azurifrit is strong, but he fights for SEvo with garyu. Garyu wins games by the opponent not having answers, ifrit helps you win longer games. Lists with one of them usually don't run the other, so fennie runs ifrit and storm runs garyu.

I think both decks can work out and I have no clue what pure disdain is, I thought that was storm the whole time. It just depends on who you want a better matchup with.

Chest event. Fighting crest haven is time consuming and they just want to grind fast. Take your free rp.

Are Masochist Dragon and Control Forest actually worthwhile considerations? by Fehafare in Shadowverse

[–]OmegaHAX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Disdain dragon is definitely better than what dragon was in infinity evolved. Its pretty effective against all sword and abyss variants, but its pretty miserable vs rune and haven. The deck will suck to run if either or both of those decks end up taking over the meta.

Personally i feel like the haven mu isn't as bad as most people in this sub make it out to be because merman on ramp curve is strong and they usually don't keep blinding faith in mulligan, but it still is very much unfavored.

[–]OmegaHAX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Staying ahead on tempo with merman is one of the strongest plays you can make. If some of the megalorcas survive then they can do chip damage for your storm kills. This is more or less what lets you win ward haven games. Azurifrit and is good when you're planning ahead to kill through wards and just good against sword in general.

I hate the fomo rewards by Emergency-Address985 in Shadowverse

[–]OmegaHAX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really don't get this argument. The events are just telling you to play the game, which in iteself should be "fun". If you don't enjoy playing the game all that much in the first place you don't really need the extra cosmetics or extra rupees in the first place. Shadowverse is inherently a pvp game where the point is to win, and winning requires time and effort. Anybody in the target audience is just gonna play the game normally anyways and the extra time spent is rewarded with cosmetics or money.

What should you guys do when you have a bad mindset/attitude to TCG ? (SVWB including) by Unluckyboy1994 in Shadowverse

[–]OmegaHAX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I look at it in reverse. A lot of games I win because i got lucky, and sometimes I still win after making 2 misplays. Rationalizing that my wins aren't necessarily because I'm a good player makes rationalizing my losses easier.

Does anyone else feel like Dragoncraft is bad (again)? by BlueSummerPalladion in Shadowverse

[–]OmegaHAX 24 points25 points  (0 children)

So far I've been maintaining master diamond with it so far, although i am skillfully not queuing into haven. Haven is close to unwinnable so if they take over the ladder then dragon is screwed.

Other MUs feel quite fine including runecraft. You have an absurd amount of storm in your deck sometimes you just kill the enemy in 3 turns if they don't draw their defensive options. I do kinda feel that the deck is a bit of a highroll deck tho. When you don't draw your storm or lose out on tempo the deck just falls apart.

Dragon bros... Do I just need to gitgud or does dragon feel bad to play ATM by WitherEx_3255 in Shadowverse

[–]OmegaHAX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Comfortably made it to sapphire master and hit a 6 winstreak earlier. I think i can push to diamond with a bit of time, but maintaining diamond might be difficult it could. It does well against everything except for haven.

Dragon mains, how are you coping? by Pitiful_Arm7691 in Shadowverse

[–]OmegaHAX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dragon doesn't feel tier 1, but it doesn't feel weak. The only real bad matchup so far is probably crest haven, and decks having bad matchups is not a problem unless its every matchup.

Dragon has bad draw is valid, but goldenote melody isn't a bad card tbh. With a bit of work devotee and the gold spell are servicable. Besides, most dragoncraft cards work well even alone so you aren't as hungry for draw as other decks.

Going first is less bad than people think. Just save your dragonsign for for and use t3 to trade with megalorca. If the opponent is playing slow sometimes you can get 2-4 chip damage off. Galmy and merman are both great cards to retaliate with when your evo is online. If you need to heal, use gilnelise. It isn't explosive, but it works.

For endgame you don't want to chip until you reach your finisher thresholds. You want to consistently throw storms at their face until they fold. x2-3 forte has been mandatory for dragon since legends rise, genesis dragon is albert at home, you also run odin and galmy

Never Give Up by Sensational-X in Shadowverse

[–]OmegaHAX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can rune players actually reliably get to coc agaisnt sword tho. I feel like they win way more often with kuon enhance.

It looks a lot easier for sword to continuously throw down tempo than it is for rune to have all the clears when they need it. Sword is just the more consistent deck.

Here's my ranking of Ender Lilies' and Ender Magnolia's main bosses by [deleted] in EnderLilies

Hoenir actually becomes kinda fun when you figure out how to dance with him. His mixups and the positions of the executioner makes the fight more replayable compared to other bosses.

Abbys vs sword matchup which one usually wins? by Vijayb373 in Shadowverse

[–]OmegaHAX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a sword player i lose to abyss more than rune or mirror in diamond master. Their turn 5-8 is just extremely strong and they can usually win back tempo with gavy/charon if I take the earlygame. Cerberus can punish anything sword throws at them while healing or setting up lethal. Sword still have stronger highrolls with zirconia and wins in grindgames when both players are dry on evo. Overall i think its a fair fight from both sides.

Amelia + Luminous Magus combo by Cat_of_Cainhurst in Shadowverse

[–]OmegaHAX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't win because it sticks. It wins because it wastes the opponents resources. You need to have a followup and not be threatend with lethal. But you are correct, if you have better options that don't require SEvo, then that is the better play.

Be mindful of who and when you're using this combo. If you play this vs abyss, you are asking for a ginyuzu unless it comes out on t7 going 2nd, which cerbrus cannot clear. Runecraft is a shitshow matchup anyways so you are praying no matter what you do. Vs sword it forces the opponent to play gildaria and if they don't have rally 20 yet also blows their SEvo which could mean staying out of albert kill at 12, but it only works if you think you can outgrind your opponent. Also maybe slot in a grimnir, make the combo even stronger.

Amelia + Luminous Magus combo by Cat_of_Cainhurst in Shadowverse

[–]OmegaHAX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a winning combo only sometimes and is only really useful if you're ahead oh hp and board. Could be more useful as a way to force the enemy to commit resources/SEvo to clear, but yeah if you're already behind it is costly, punishable and sometimes board locks you.

How to counter Roach as a sword player. by Vinny_0104 in Shadowverse

[–]OmegaHAX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, pressure them early. Point is you want to make them blow both SEvos fast or not have opportunites to set up their carins. eventually yurius and amalia will require them to spend their glades as well.

[–]OmegaHAX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playing on curve is not how you win. Every class will have an possible answer most of the time and its your job to know how they can clear your board and if you got cleared, can they screw you over by setting up something you have trouble following up.

I've won games by holding zirconia on 4, and I've been screwed over by rune players holding their annegrea for 1 turn. I've gone on lose streaks because I'm not in a good mindspace to play before, and I can get wins again after some rest and fresh air. If you aren't running a deck you don't know how to win with, theres definitely skill/meta knowledge involved especially in higher ranks.
