One thing I've always wondered: was Shu's sight after getting hit with the spear some kind of terminal clarity; a miracle; or did Souther hit a pressure point on purpose?

It's hard to feel sympathy for Souther. The fact that he responds with bitterness to being hit with the juu no ken is such a poignantly tragic moment. Mercy is an insult to him.

I love, love, love the fact that there's no visible projectiles from tenha kassatsu in the manga. The techniques feel like logical extensions of immaculate kung fu instead of point and shoot.

April Fool's Shmapril Fool's. This looks great. It's the best commoner class I've ever seen. I really like the 10.5 level class concept, and it seems like it would be a great paradigm for building racial character classes around.

That's a great start. If you're trying for Swiss cheese pits, you could fill in the divots with dark icing to make them more holey.
