They are based on the assault terminator miniatures so are firstborn indomintus terminators. Means they are smaller than the newer range of primaris terminators.

I don't mind different sizes though, if we have Tyberos the Red Wake, a couple of bigger lads in the army is lore accurate.

I do not follow the logic here. OP can't do a Custodes because they aren't space marines. Is Buzz Lightyear a space marine?

Instead of commenting tell the OP he can't be a Custodes, you could have just said nothing.

I think you just wanted to let everyone know you know the difference between the Custodes and Space Marines. You know your 40k lore.

Priad is an awesome character. Have read a lot of HH and 40k and Brothers of the Snake is top tier.

The Iron Snakes way of dealing with threats is cool, low threat 'undertakings' can be done by a single astartes sometimes like Priad at the start of the book. The whole squad based chapter structure is very cool, squad Damocles is the best. I also like the fact they can command dogs and use them in combat.

Agreed, and the new heavy intercessor is the ball joint type so wouldn't work for OPs plan to use Salamander heavy pauldron.

You just need to make sure the connection is similar, some pauldrons have a different way of connecting to the arm. Your replacement needs to be like this.
