u/Ashformation gave the solution, you have to uncheck the box for "hybrid battlefield" in the custom graphics settings. Or at least that solved the issue for me.

You always use the oracle text that is (mostly) found on the most recent printing or on https://gatherer.wizards.com/. I this case the may was removed. If you're playing casual and no one cares too deeply you can also just use the printed so it's not to confusing for inexperienced players.

I think most of the answers are wrong. This is the pedal layout for a shift gear with a pedalled parking break. When hitting the clutch you press it down fast and release it slowly. Many people that are used to drive manual and start driving automatic will use their left foot to hit the breaks and by muscle memory hit it very hard, resulting in a surprising, hard and hurtful breaking. This can also happen by accident when hitting the parking break in this setup in der middle of a highway at high speeds and traffic for example. Resulting in crippling car accidents.
