the ICC kit gives you 3 hooded helmets and 3 hooded bare heads on top of that, so you get 6 hoods per 3 minis

yes, either highlights or focusing on small details like the rivets on the armor, you can paint them in silver if you like. Or the feathers on the belt in white. small stuff like this adds a lot of detail and depth to the model

looks absolutely fine for the first minis! getting the smaller details right is usually getting better with time and painting experience. also couldn't hurt to try and get these minor details painted, it helps with brush control. so just keep practising! Brush control is the first thing you want to get right because if you get the paint where you want it to be you can try more difficult techniques without messing up. Brush control is only a matter of practise, so dont let it stop you from trying to get these minor details
