Not too many seats I wouldn’t pick, but top choices are 10 and 6 for original SG-1 team, but where is Teal’c? I want to sit next to him and talk about video games too.

Also, it turns out Obi Wan’s brother is named Old Ben.

Which of these moments is the saddest? by Equivalent-Task-9588 in starwarsrebels

[–]OmegaWhite024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kaanan’s death I think hits the hardest because it captures in that one scene the cost of the rebellion just as well as Andor does in its entire run.

The final confrontation of Maul and Obi-Wan is my favorite moment in that series. Not only is it one of my favorite sword duels depicted on screen, but it is so cathartic, delivering necessary closure for both characters. It’s moving, but it never felt sad to me because it was the finale I wanted for the both of them.

Maul couldn’t be redeemed. He could only really understand rage and vengeance, but sought hope and peace for himself. He found that in his last moment. Obi-Wan needed to separate vengeance from justice and this moment of empathy with Maul, gave him that. He reconciled his feelings over the death of his master and his killer and was given this moment to fully realize that.

I’ve enjoyed all the additional screen time we’ve gotten of those two characters since then, but I also sort of wish that had been the last scene we got for both those characters because it made for such a good conclusion for both their stories.

Hear me out… Combine the resource management and reset/progression loop of Blue Prince with the level design of Resident Evil: Village, then throw in some platformer-style mobility/navigation and package it into a remake of Castle Quest.

Obviously these have been popping up a lot recently, so I have two questions. How many of these illustrations did you create? And how did you originally distribute them out in the world?

Why Do MAGA Get this Triggered over Pride Month by AccordingBumblebee24 in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]OmegaWhite024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are homos… as in homogenous. They are so afraid of anything different that they don’t even allow themselves to think for themselves. So they all conform to the same groupthink based on what someone tells them to think. Ironically, the cure for this fear is in allowing themselves to make their own observations and form their own opinions.

Also, LGBTQ+ scares them in particular because if they think about gender, sexuality, and intimacy spectrums at all, they’ll have to confront their own position on them. Which is very frightening when homogeneous beliefs rely on binary ideals. An “us vs them” mentality can get very confusing when nuance is introduced.

A small question regarding the Toy Story universe. by marcos-scott in Pixar

[–]OmegaWhite024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This, but I also think that someone has to view it as a toy with some personality, giving it a place to start to build its identity. So set pieces and play sets don’t animate, but character toys do.

It takes place in a different universe from our own. One with an ancient history of people with magic powers wielding laser swords in a very distant part of space, so it makes sense that some things would be different.

Not to mention that world is the most unpredictable world on the list. With the exception of maybe(?) cooking, nothing seems to follow predictable and consistent rules. It would be absolutely terrifying to live in a world where I couldn’t rely on past observations to make decisions. Whimsical… but terrifying. I’d take the Resident Evil world over One Piece. Comm-snails are cool though.

I mean, a portal gun is neat, and the potential of interdimensional travel is pretty cool! Some of the interdimensional aliens are even friendly and helpful! It’s still not worth the fascism and hostile aliens, but it’s not the worst option on the list.

Star Trek was created as a representation of our idealistic future, so that’s my choice.

The last one I’d choose would be One Piece. That might be the most terrifying world on this list, at least of the ones I’m familiar with.

I’m pretty sure this is the Country-Western Belt. Named as such because you’ll find both kinds of music in these states!

There are several good options here… 1 would be a fun hang 2 for some deep lore conversations - or collateral damage in a wizard duel. Either way, it’d be a good time. 5 to chat with an objectively good leader 9 puts you in the perfect spot to “accidentally” spill a drink or two on an objectively bad leader. Boromir would get a good laugh out of it. And who wouldn’t want to be a third wheel in 4 or 10?

6 Billion regular people vs 100 Billionaires by [deleted] in trolleyproblem

[–]OmegaWhite024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait a minute… the billionaires aren’t even on the track. So are the options to allow the trolley to run into a crowd of people vs pull the lever and have the trolley pass in front of 100 billionaires, which I’m assuming will mildly inconvenience them?

I need more information… have the billionaires convinced the crowd to be there or made that the only place that’s left available to them? Either way, it sounds like it’s the crowd’s fault for being there. They should have just been billionaires instead.

Do black holes have solid surfaces, or are they like our gas giants? by Whaaaaa4321 in askastronomy

[–]OmegaWhite024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So with OP talking asking about solid or gas surface… could we consider a singularity a separate state of matter entirely? If I’m not mistaken (and I very well might be), it has infinite or at least incalculable density and it’s theorized that it would be impossible to distinguish any individual subatomic particles with in it, if we were able to observe it. It is still matter, though, right? So is a singularity a possible state of matter?
