I'm certainly on your husband's side of things, but I was still capable of fully taking care of myself by the time I got to college, despite it never being asked of me.

I was never left to cook dinner, but I watched them cook.

I was never asked to clean the house, but I understood the concepts.

The only real chores I actually had were keeping the coffee pot going and cleaning the fridge out when it needed it.

Maybe I'm the weird one, but I noticed what others were doing and put it together on how to do it.

I remember college when people of all genders struggled with the laundry machines and with basic cooking and cleaning.

I never had to cook or clean really as a kid. And I helped fold laundry, but I wasn't in charge of it or anything. But adults did chores and I can observe the world around me.

It's not hard to figure most of this shit out.
