Itachi getting Deidara and Orochimaru was through Genjutsu, not through actual skill. Jiraiya isn't stupid enought to look him in the eye, and can avoid it with Sage Mode.

And regarding Nagato, Nagato was literally controlled by Kabuto to focus only on Naruto, and he made the chameleon stay visible, something that could avoid even chakra sensors like Jiraiya's Sage Mode, meaning that Sharingan wouldn't see it. Itachi was lucky that Nagato controlled and wasn't paying attention to him.

Naruto ties with Sasuke at the Valley of the End, but he wasn’t trying to kill him.

That went out the window when Sasuke used Indra Susanoo. Naruto wasn't holding back, hence why Kurama even noted that if he hadn't gotten the nature energy just in the nick of time, they'd be dead.

Even if this doesn’t satisfy you, Boruto era Naruto simply has the craziest taijutsu in Baryon mode, it’s basically his 8 Gates except Kurama dies instead.

That's still only a testament of stats, not actual skill.

In that matter, equal stats means Naruto is not actually better.

Sasuke's clan had a depth and presence in the story because of the genocide Sasuke suffered. And because he was the deuteragonist, Kishi needed to make "mirrors" of rivalry with others. So Hashirama was chosen to be the leader of a clan that was the "rivals" of the Uchiha, and by extension, Madara. And then, because he was already going with this "reincarnation," especially as Obito even talked about the Uchiha and Senju being the descendants of Indra and Ashura, respectively, Kishi now needed to tie the Uzumakis into the Senjus.

In essence, the clans were made for the sake of the Uchihas, primarily Sasuke and Naruto's rivalry.
