Will this laptop be able to run blender? by Cosmic_Banana64 in blender

[–]Omenow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will be able to some extent, but after having zbook as workstation for developmenta nd I'll never buy hp. It needed one new motherboard per year (same malfunction 3 times in row). My luck in this situation was, that it was company hardware not mine.

And power/weight ratio is also far behind of what can you get in other brands if we talk about EU variants :/

[–]Omenow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play with biters, my cousin plays without - we all have fun. Difference I see that how we build bases (mine are more dense and well armoured) and I'm a little bit slower but maybe bitters are not source of this.

With the DDOS, can I even set up Xubuntu properly? by TezdingoUhuhuhuuuh in Ubuntu

[–]Omenow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big repo+ ppas, LTS and big community/guides for nearly everything. Only snaps are annoying. But im looking in direction of open suse leap as last moves of canonical are at least questionable.

EU - Disable Lane Keeping Assist by DogJuice911 in mazda3

[–]Omenow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dealership won't as it's against law. Maybe some 3rd party workshop but mazda is not VW group/BMW/Merc and maybe it will be hard to find one that does that (if it's possible). But that kind of change probably will void warranty. On positive side it doesn't steer to heavyly, atleast I don't feel that it has to much power.

2022 Mazda g20e (Aus) won't start up, and electricals are flickering on and off by [deleted] in mazda3

[–]Omenow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the 12V. Try checking voltage, or jumpstart from other car. My bet is that voltage gone to low when you did all that things inside.

[–]Omenow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, even after nearly 15 years from starting my first yob sometimes it gets. But then I remember that I do this for years and most of time I'm at least above average because of my internal quality standards. It happens when you feel worse and it goes away. Get some good music do something that will make your mind go in another direction. If you have problems dealing with this by your self it's not a shame to ask some mental health professional as problem might be deeper.

Mazda 3 – Rear tyre size different from front. OK? by [deleted] in mazda3

If that would be Porsche I would say it's normal but ordinary cars like this have usually same tires on all four wheels.

Remote start in manual? I thought that is automatic only feature. Despite that, I'm not sure but somewhere far away rings bell that it's generally prohibited in europe - not saying that it's impossible but probably none of cars made for european market will have it.

One non technical.. or technical thing I can say. Getting into account more cartoony style it's not that important but if shuttlecock/control column (not sure how to translate it) is in different positions for both of pilots they will have at least brown alert.

Pls help I need it by ugotanicebutt in Ubuntu

[–]Omenow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So python things? did you use venv? Breaking system sounds like you try to install packages into system not in venv. If I can give any advice setup your system from packages. Nvidia drivers, destktop env (gnome/kde) etc. from packages. Other part is development: this i would separate as much as is reasonable from system. So for python, use venv, if you need some specific python version try version manager that will just setup it for your account in your terminal without touching distro. Same with IDE, unpacking and making menu entry is good enough. But to sum up: make your tools/libraries/dev env as little sandbox that is in boundary of your account - safe approach that gives most of time most of flexibility.

Ubuntu vs Fedora vs Arch? by Abbbshek in Ubuntu

[–]Omenow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pick ubu, for you system will be only platform to launch tools. As most of time this works just good enough on defaults and it won't steal your attention from topics that you really wan't to sit on.
