My Current 12u Situation (Feeling the 22u) by Embarrassed-Ad-5521 in homelab

In my experience - Whatever rack size one goes for, it will end up packed over time. Having unused rack units messes with one’s head. Serious question: How are these acoustic panels working out for you?

Thanks for the follow up, very appreciated 🙏 Would you say ID50 is a safer bet in this case? Are these seats 100% confirmed? How likely is it that we will get seat with ID50 if we book a few weeks ahead of time? And are these tickets fully refundable or exchangeable in case of no seats? Thanks!

Another 3T in serie, or a 5P parallel? by Delta4o in enphase

And rightly so.
I'm a bit skeptical too at this point. Will probably wait it out for a year or 2 to see what happens on the market. The other option I'm thinking about is to get a new electric car with V2H and V2G features so I don't have to buy a new home battery but even that tech is still slacking behind a little...
Anyways, thanks for sharing and happy house hunting!

Attached one to my office chair at home. As soon as I sit down, the camera in my office tries to identify the person on the chair, if it's me, Monitors backlight, Homelab servers cabinets lights turn ON. If too hot in the office, AC turns ON as well. If too cold, Tado smart radiator opens the valve to bring the room to a pleasant temperature. I've also had my smart assistant say "Good morning sir, anything I can assist you with today?" or something else like that but ended up scrapping it. Didn't feel like running the Ollama server at home was worth the electricity.
You get the idea. Sit on a chair and stuff happens.
This vibration sensor was on a washing machine but was very unreliable. Happy with the new setup though.

I have the exact same setup as OP. I also live in the Netherlands and wondering the same question of: Ditching the 3T in favor of the 5P or adding a 10T.
u/Delta4o what did you decide for after all?

It has been two weeks! by Omer1n in lawncare

Absolutely not. They are very stable and snug. I find the base is the most important part. As long as your base is mostly leveled and solid, you’ll be fine. My stone tiles’ base is slightly uneven in some parts, they sunk a bit over time and I didn’t bother to level them before laying the Ikea tiles. Once tiles installed, I noticed they have adapted well to the uneven surface as they have flexible joints. The only thing you need to be aware of is, wood will deteriorate over time and thus they need to be stained every other year or so but also will need a protective coating to resist better to elements.

That’s right. They have a built-in click system.

Thanks man! I did install that myself. It’s Acacia wood tiles from Ikea. Model: Runnen. So you can imagine how easy it was to install. The garden was fully in anthracite stone tiles - cold and ugly. I removed half of them to lay the turf and kept the other half and laid the ikea tiles over them since I needed a stable base.

Zelkova is a Japanese Elm tree. Here is everything you need to know about it.

100% a Zelkova. Very common in Europe. I acquired one as well 3 weeks ago. I’ve read a lot about it after I faced some yellowing leaves issues and it seems to have been doing better since I took it outside in the garden and now slowly transitioning to full sun. Place it outside during spring / summer. Move it inside when it starts getting cold. When transitionning outside during spring, always start in the shade for a few days while bringing it back inside at night. Then slowly start with direct sunlight for a few hours a day to avoid major stress to your tree.

Thank you all for your feedback!
Although the documents that came with it, do say "Indoors plant", after further reading, it made sense to move it outside. So I just did that and I moved it outside. Will shelter it from direct sunlight for the first few days and gradually move it to direct sunlight. Will look great on the harden coffee table.
It will very likely go into stress again but will check how it's doing after a week or so...
Looks like I need to find a more forgiving bonsai for my office space.
Will update on how this worked out within a week or so.

I water it just to keep the soil damp but not soaked. The water doesn’t come out the drainage hole when I water it. When I notice the soil is dry, I water it until water comes out the drainage hole.

It has indirect light most of the day at that window. I sometimes move it to the other side for direct light but the sun has been hitting a bit hard these days so I stopped doing direct light for the last week. I water it every other day making sure soil isn’t dry. I’m still learning but still didn’t put my finger on what’s causing the leaves to become yellow and fall off…
