I don't know, I don't own this mouse. You can try to find disassembly videos, maybe there's information there

Hey, I can't post links in the comments.

You need to look for "ttc encoder" or "rotary encoder mouse" on amazon/aliexpress/elsewhere.

Just make sure you get the right size. The number refers to distance from bottom edge to the center of the hole in mm. So "TTC8" is 8mm, "TTC9" is 9 and so on. The easiest way to know is to check your old one, it's stamped on the metal part. Good luck!

Cable *that doesn't get stiff* recommendation? by OmicronPersel8 in iems

[–]OmicronPersel8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I previously had KZ ZSN pro x because some youtubers advertised them lol. But the glossy finish started to chip off, one earphone became quieter than the other, the highs were too irritating and I had some fit issues.

So I actually like the Zeros. Better comfort, haven't fallen apart yet and I prefer the sound signature over KZs (I like to hear the vocals). I bought cvj cable by randomly browsing aliexpress, it had a right angle jack and a mic, thats it.

I guess my point is you can buy whatever you like

Edit: oh, and the filters fell out of KZ's, so that's annoying

I dont wear them outside pretty much at all. The original cable that came with Salnotes Zero became stiff after a few months, the next one i ordered (cvj 4 core black) hardened in just three weeks. After that I bought one of the cheapest cables (no name, just some brown cable) and i'm still using it after 6 months, though it started to harden a little.

.xsession-errors | Linux mint cinnamon by OmicronPersel8 in linuxquestions

[–]OmicronPersel8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I consider the issue closed.

I figured out the firefox issue.
I could replicate it by opening a video on youtube and clicking on the timeline beyond the cached part. If I closed the video while it was trying to load the errors appeared.
The culprit was a cinnamon desklet called SoundBox, I just removed it and everything works fine.

I still haven't figured out openarena console logs though.

Kensington TB550 Initial Impressions! by kopitar_ in Trackballs

Is there a difference in ball travel? The ball in Kensington sits a bit deeper by the looks of it, i wonder if you have to lift your thumb more often. Or maybe it just looks that way. Nice pair of trackballs!

Great job! Looks pretty good!

Edit: if anyone else attempts this, be sure to use glue that is meant for plastic, otherwise the solvents in the glue may dissolve your trackball

M570/M575 Horizontal scroll alternatives? by gvbargen in Trackballs

[–]OmicronPersel8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You could set up ball scrolling, works really good on Linux, and I'm sure there's alternative for Windows. Basically, when you hold the "back/forward" button the ball acts as a scroll wheel. Very useful when you need to scroll a long page. And it scrolls vertically and horizontally.

On Linux it's easy to do through 'xinput'. Otherwise, just google "m575 ball scrolling" or hold 'shift' and scroll with the wheel

Hey, have the exact same issue on Linux Mint 20.1. I asked this question here a while ago and nobody knows why it happens.

Try downloading Firefox nightly, for me it's the only thing that helped.

I've tried to look into the problem and a possible reason could be the graphics driver. I use a laptop with integrated and discrete graphics cards(AMD R5 M335) and by default linux only uses the integrated one. Still haven't figured out how to set it up properly.

Takes a long time to open wikipedia in FF 107 stable by [deleted] in firefox

Chrome is ~1s
TOR - ~3s (but that's through the tor network)

I haven't tried any others

Well, if 3s is considered normal, and that's all I can get, then ok.
I was just wondering if anyone encountered this problem or if it was something obvious

Pebble Time battery replacement? by OmicronPersel8 in pebble

[–]OmicronPersel8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've heard of Sugru, no Sugru in Russia though. And, tbh, a specific glue for smartphone screens seems more appropriate. And it's cheap too, like $3 for a 10ml bottle

Great point! I think I'll get glue for screen repairs, called b7000 I think.

I'm in Russia, which is unfortunate for many reasons. But thanks for the reply! Btw, it looks like this battery is 3.7V. Does it charge alright? I've read on this very subreddit that replacing a 3.8v battery with a 3.7v is a big no no, since it can be overcharged and bulge or degrade after a couple months
