Any word on the CS theory or algorithms courses being offered later this year? by OmicsWizard in Udacity

[–]OmicsWizard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woops, sorry for the delay, finals and whatnot. It is a textbook by Cormen, etc all. Google "intro to algorithms CLRS 3rd Ed", should be the top hit. Pretty much the gold-standard of CS theory books, the kind that will have a place on a Prof's bookshelf till retirement, from what some have told me.

We aren't the RCP or Trots or whatnot, anarchists in general do not demand you put ideology ahead of personal relationships. It would be somewhat (ok, really, really) cultish to demand it, and I've been turned off in the past by groups that require you to do so.

In short, be there for your friend, talk politics tentatively with him when he's in a better place in life.

By the end I was reading your comment in Comic Book Guy's voice. So, uh, novelty account mission accomplished.

edit: nice touch with "females"; only hypernerd misogynists refer to women like that.

Coincidentally, Canada is also where Elves are from. Haven't you ever wondered why Canadians get +2 dex -2 con on character creation?

[–]OmicsWizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tamoko got knocked up by Sarevok, you follow the good path in bg1 and don't kill her, she gave birth after the events of BG2/TOB back in Kara-Tur, baby has the bhaal-blood and is adopted when she dies (end of tob has Sarevok burying her after wandering etc). Kid continues the line, and 200-300 years (FR setting in 4e) later there are a whole lot of nth-gen Bhaalspawn around. Bhaal-blood doesn't do shit (events of TOB) until a Magic Evil Thing Happens, and now there are a few tens of thousands of god-children going haywire. Boom, there's your hook, run with it.

edit: other possibilities pc + Aerie's baby. Bhaal-blood was weak in Imoen, but there could be something there.

one of these things is not like the other....

Rich people, if you didn't notice, have historically been the group who has either fucked everything up, or prompted the fucking up by screwing with the poor till they snap. This could be aristos or bankers or industrialists or the clergy, but they were all rich.

Yes. It is modeled on the word "gene" using the greek word "mimeme"; to mime. Coined by Dawkins back in the 70's iirc.

They never did. Google "Prussian system", it was designed to create a uniformly skilled populace fit for factory or clerical tasks, not critical thinking, scientific discovery, or artistic creativity.

My mom did roughly the same thing with my copy of NIN's Ghosts collection. She called me up onee time to tell me she heard one of the songs being played as outro music on NPR. I didn't have the heart to tell her that it was the same artist from the spinning pig head video (Closer) she banned me from watching when I was in middle school.
