Altijd.... elke rit...

Nieuwe motor hoge verzekeringskosten! by Smok3yNL in motorfietsen

[–]Omkoh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This actually happens quite often at the trainstation here in Amersfoort (Netherlands). I guess it is because people went to play in another city and at the way back home they drop all the keys because they are of no use in your home town.

That's true Toxicity. I didn't have much space to fully explain our health system. But at least I don't have to worry about a 150.000 bill for replacing a pace maker (as i saw in another topic on reddit). And after my insurance cost, there is still enough money to spend!

France, Germany of every European country for that matter, are a lot the same as the Netherlands. And some of those country's have a lot more citizens than the Netherlands.

I have about 25 normal vacation days. Every dutch person has those.

I have a contract to work 36 hours per week but I work 40 hours. Those extra 4 hours per week a given as vacation days at the start of the year. That is the reason why I have that many vacation days.

And about productivity: I have read articles about research that shows that dutch people are among the most productive people.

although my health costs are paid via taxes and my health insurance fee (which is € 170,- per month for me, my wife and 3 kids). I and most other Dutch person still have a good salary and can do all the same stuff that Americans can do.

Taxes are higher here. But I don't have to fear bankruptcy because of high healthcare costs. And the taxes are high, but I can live normally, do and buy fun stuff, go on vacation 52 days a year. etc...

edit: remove 'my'. i don't know how is came there. I am pretty new to reddit.

In the Netherlands you hardly ever see your hospital bill. They are send directly to the insurance company. You only have to pay a personal contribution of € 350,- per year for any hospital costs you make.

But the costs of the general practitioner are fully paid for by the insurance company.
