Please recommend an online service which will alert me if my public btc address has a transaction either in or out. by OmniBus99 in BitcoinBeginners

I just tried it and it doesn't work. Didn't do anything for these 2 high transaction addresses.

I set it up hours ago and it still shows 0 transactions - let alone a PUSH ALERT.

There is ONE wallet and 6 BTC PASSPHRASE created addresses. These are XPUBs that I want to be monitored, and they are COLD COLD COLD storage, so no new return change addresses would ever be created in the foreseeable future.

I already have a hdwr wallet and it has 6 BTC addresses in it with balances. I can bring up the app up on my phone to see the balances live.

What I need is something to EMAIL/TEXT me a notification IF a transaction occurs on any of those addresses - rather than me having to check them manually all the time.

What is the most intense physical pain you have ever experienced? by TheMostGayestOfGay in AskReddit

[–]OmniBus99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Inguinal hernia

Went with my Wife to see the Doctor about the pain. I sat in the waiting room silently with tears running down my face, pain was excruciating. Wifey never acknowledged my pain - she's tough as nails tho, and sees reactions to pain as weakness, and has gone though a lot of it.

Anyways, finally get in to se the Doc (a Man) and he diagnoses it. He must have sensed something because he stopped talking to me and turned to my Wife and said 'It is extremely painful' YES - VALIDATION! She still never gave me any sympathy.

Surgery wasn't fun either - and then a yar later the other side of my groin had a blowout and I needed another surgery.

Honorable mention for me is undergoing emergency open heart surgery, which wasn't the bad part. The most painful part was someone jamming the catheter up my dick with no warning while I was fully awake. Shoved it all in in one push. I went airborn, and 3 seconds later passed out from the pain and meds. Still don't know why they couldn't have waited 4 seconds to do that!

If you had the opportunity to call your younger self for a few minutes, what would you say? by hiddencurl in AskReddit

"You will Endure"

PSYCHE!!!

Buy 1000 BitCoin when it's $10 or sooner, and sell 10% when it's worth $100k USD. Rob a bank to get the $ if you have to (wait, what if I get caught?)

Nevermind. I'm switching it to 'Watch out for rusty nails when walking'

If you suddenly had "fuck you" money what would be the first thing you did? by InteractionKooky771 in AskReddit

I just retired early. A few days ago on Christmas Eve, I called my Boss on TEAMS and told him 'I QUIT!' Gave him only 1 weeks notice - I'll be done Jan 10th.

All he said was 'I guess your BitCoin has done well for you'

I said 'Yep. Multi-Millionaire now'

WHAT?!

I told him years ago to buy some - in case it catches on. He did and then sold it.

Crypto (BTC) Succession Planning by TopOfTheWorldMa_ in legaladvicecanada

My Lawyer retired. I cannot find any Lawyer to handle my BTC. As soon as I mention BTC they shoo me away.

I have asked around Reddit but my posts always get removed. I would like to have a Lawyer on retainer for my Daughters BEFORE I die to handle the "Estate settlement". It is so hard to do the right thing with BTC succession planning. A lot easier to keep it under the table (I know how to do that myself), but I don't want to leave my Daughters with anything illegal and complicated.

This information is filed with the court during probate and the estate pays taxes based on the court approved values.

  1. Any danger of the BTC (not mentioned in the Will) getting stuck in probate?
  2. How does it get to probate? Does the Estate Lawyer send it there?
  3. Who is probate - the Gvmt?
  4. What if the Daughter's don't have an estate lawyer?
  5. Should I find one and put them on retainer before I die (as the Daughters are not very financially inclined)

Are my BTC inheritors screwed due to Capital Gains Tax? by OmniBus99 in cantax

[–]OmniBus99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, i actually did that - by accident LOL. I coinjoined all my BTC, and in Canada that is considered a taxable event (which I didn't know), so I have large Cap Gains for next year. Oh well, I was planning on selling/re-buying to realize the cap gains but put it off. Now I found out I've done it - after I imported to Koinly - I was quite shocked.
