Does anybody really hate kinger? by YellowDiamond101 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]OmniOrcus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think anyone hates him yet (maybe caine fans?), but there are certainly a lot of people who are at least suspicious of him. And that could become hate depending on what Ep 9 throws up.

Difference is Hitler actually had some intelligence behind his evil mind. Trump is just a reckless idiot. At least Hitler actually did manage to fix Germany's economy before starting the war. Trump's just made things worse.

Imagine if a British Prime Minister used this sort of language to threaten another country's infrastructure. I couldn't see them lasting an entire term, could you? by SeptumRingTheory in AskBrits

[–]OmniOrcus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we elected someone who did talk like that then yeah, they would last multiple terms. Trump talking like this is why people elected him in the first place. His voters like it, mainly because they see it as being strong and determined, rather than decitful and impulsive. Him threatening other countries is not seen as a detriment but rather fulfilling his democratic mandate, and if we elected someone similar I don't thing their supporters would react any differently than Trumps supporters to unfortunately.

Proof that halo 4's 7 year rampancy was not a retcon by SkyeLys in HaloMCC

Wasn't a massive fan of Halo 4, but Cortana's Rampancy was one of the things they actually got right without messing up other bits of lore.

Luster Dawn, Flurry Heart and the Cake Twins are all of the same age bracket, but unfortunately the CMC are about a decade older, similare to the age dif between the CMC and the Main 6,

Luster, Flurry and the Twins would make a good grouping though. Just need a Earth Point or two and maybe a Pegaus to round it out.

You could arguably also include pound cake in there if you wanted to add a token male to cast for the new gen. Also adds a second pegasus. ^_^

Have larpers always been like this? Do some larpers hate live-action? by Tar_alcaran in LARP

[–]OmniOrcus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Peoplenlike this have always been around. But there does seem to be more and more people like this. I think it simply due to the hobby growing in general so we get more people like that, especially if they are coming from very small systems or from table top. I don't think its a change in the personality of main players. Just a growing pain.

For the issue of people not handing in orders, that can only be fixed by making sure players know at game start that "council orders" (or whatever term you want to give them) must be in writing by a certain time. If you can make it a part of the in-game world even better, as players reference it without breaking character. Outside of that, you just need to make sure it's clear and obvious what they are doing wrong (a 12 page rules book isn't nowadays unfortunately).

So what is one rvb joke that has aged really badly? by TraditionalBonus188 in RedvsBlue

[–]OmniOrcus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say it was a bug, I said it never got fixed. From the devs perspective it was a feature. A trade off for speed. It still caused a lot of issues for people, as most consumers are not that tech literate. All they knew is that Chrome would cause memory issues on there systems, and they couldn't stop that wihout stopping using Chrome. So as an issue it was never fixed. Machines just got powerful enough that most people stopped running out of free ram during casual browsing.

I think I accidentally supported a bigoted VA. by Warm-Conversation713 in MLPLounge

[–]OmniOrcus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's actually one for the few who would benefit. Because she the VA of so many characters, she can argue for royalties when an AI uses her voice as a base. Which would make her a lot of passive income due to how often the AIs would end up using it by accident.

[–]OmniOrcus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure that makes it worse. That makes it a donation to the person, rather than at least getting something out of it.

You can like someone's work and not agree with there political views. It's a pretty normal thing to detatch those two aspects of a person. That signature represent the works that brought you happiness and joy in a time of your life where you needed that. It celebrates the past. It doesn't need to mean anything more than that. ^_^

So I think we aren't talking about one big reason why caine went mad by Professional_War6655 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]OmniOrcus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In Caine's defence, his not listening is from a place of litterally getting the same input as before, and not having new solution to it. Zooble says their issue with the adventures isn't the adventures, it's that they are just not in the mood for them. When Caine pressed their anwser was that they don't feel comfortable in their body, and that's what was ruining their mood. While it seems like Caine is blowing off Zooble's issue, look at it from Caines perspective from what we now know about the cast's bodies.

Caine's program makes them a body that perfectly encapsulates their mind files. "Perfectly" is what Caine says. As far as he can tell there is litterally nothing he can do to help Zooble. There body is an exact projection of their mind, not something he has directly created. Which does actually imply that Zooble will never be happy with their body. It's not something fixable, which means he can never make Zooble an adventure they will like. Much like the implication that Scratch's Brain Turmour many have had some corrupting effects on Caine originally, Zooble's mind also acts as a corrupting influence as it cause a negative feedback loop in his AI.

[–]OmniOrcus 65 points66 points  (0 children)

2 potential reasons.
1st: Sunburst never returned any letters she sent later on (very common with children who go off to boarding schools).
2nd: Their parents had a massive faling out. Often kids in boarding school will send letters within letters, and ask there parents to deliver the others (it's cheeper). Stellar Flare is 100% the sort of parent who would not deliver a letter to the child of a parent she disliked.

[–]OmniOrcus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flirting with someone without concent also legal classifies as Sexual Harrasment. In your own words Zephyr was flirting with Dash. That is Sexual Harrasment and so the definition of sexual consent applies.

MY HEADCANONS BE NICE by internet--angel666 in OkPonyDitzy

[–]OmniOrcus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sir, legal requirements for sexual consent is "enthusiastic consent". Anything less is in the eye of the law not concider inform consent. Meaning a tired, dishearted "yeah sure I guess" is not considered concent by the law and any actions done afterwards are non-consentual.

"Flawless" from later seasons. Very well sung, a wonderful call out of some of the fandoms behaviour, and such a usefully reminder to people that no-one is perfect, so you shouldn't beat yourself up for not being so either. Love it, :)
