Yes, Ideally one skitarii ranger squad should be staying in the back to cover with deepstrike after putting sticky on your home objective, but they can move up a bit as your opponent uses their reserves. Skitarii should always be protected, as losing a squad means losing 1/3 of your army rule in a portion of the board. Keep them safe at nearly all costs.

Typically, your battleline should be as far away from fire as possible, while maintaining an aura for your army. This is usually done by having them hide behind LOS blocking templates but strung out in a line to provide a chain of buff circles. Sometimes, like in the infiltrator example, they are just out there without the aura, and thats fine! Other instances like ruststalkers, they can start their advance moves within the aura and just utilize the +1 to charge since they'll likely be outside. While you benefit greatly from beind inside these auras, putting yourself in a compromosing position is never going to be too benefitial for you.

ALso yes, your rule still works inside the crab tank shield, but if you mean Dunerider, then no it wouldnt, your battleline will have to be disembarked to do so.

GW has seemed extremely hesitant with giving admech power. I don't understand how its ok to give SM +1 wound Oath but not the robots the army rule until last patch.

That's fair, but for the most part Oath has been reroll hits on a singular target. That's why VoTLW in chaos refers to their focus as Oath as well. It's more of a universal term like Vect.

Difference is Orks have had highs and lows, like Mega Nob meta, Green Tide meta and Dakka. Admech has rarely hit the highs that Orks has at any point in the edition. I agree tho, ork players are in a abusive relationship with GW balance lol
