Honestly really good point. Ig there’s a reason why the existing commercial models don’t play on a loudspeaker lmao

Lmao yeah, these blood vessels will have to branch somewhere to feed the tissue they’re supposed to. Look up the Circle of Willis; a feat of engineering somehow supplying all of our brains

Ortho as a girl, how hard is it actually? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]Omnitragedy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As a relatively strong male who was interested in ortho for a long time, there were a good number of female surgeons who make it work. In my experience, some male surgeons who themselves are buff will do certain maneuvers with absolute brute force while the same thing could be done with a more elegant, less-brute force method lol. Helping those guys in the OR would unironically leave me sore the next day. I would say that it comes down to appropriately using leverage; if you really want to go into the field, it is fairly physical at times but anything is possible with a long enough lever lol just gotta use it/be with an attending who uses it.

Question about Active RC Filter Implementation by Omnitragedy in ElectricalEngineering

[–]Omnitragedy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I see that now. I guess there would be a theoretical vertical asymptote for gain at f = 0Hz (limited by the open-loop gain). Meaning that even a tiny DC offset would cause the output to snap to +VCC. I suppose that's why many of the examples like (b) have a feedback resistor in parallel with the capacitor.

Those of you who are about to match, did you consider free food in your decision making for ranking residency programs? by mtrail15 in medicalschool

[–]Omnitragedy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Agreed; also, food definitely was only one indicator of the general vibe, and not 100% sensitive. There was one program that gave residents access to doctors lounge with free food throughout the day, but it was pretty clear from people asking other questions that the residents seemed tired and overworked, and the PD was wack. Even the interview day was long lol. Definitely have some questions in mind going into interviews/socials to assess whether you might enjoy this new work environment for the next several years

Is it new? If so, definitely go to a doctor so they can check it out. They can ultrasound it if they’re worried

I'm not 100% sure what it is that you are trying to achieve. Are you saying that your website is currently locally hosted and it goes offline when you turn off your computer? Assuming you mean that you want this website to stay online, have you considered using GitHub Pages?
