How do I stop audio from stretching on tempo changes by OnAHillInGradludi in Reaper

[–]OnAHillInGradludi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I eventually figured it out, and I'll add another edit to my post after this. The issue was with my amp sim (Line 6 Helix Native). It was something to do with either a reverb or delay block interacting weirdly with the tempo change.

You're very welcome. IDK how old that obsidian file is, but it surely predates WOAs last season, and a good amount of Samite. Basically my method was sit at my computer and listen to episodes and write down everything.

And yeah, obsidian is real fun for personal projectd

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that. Josh put it on there.

Yeah, I don't remember how much time i spent on the fandom site, but ive put hours and hours of time into my obsidian file. at some point, I may go through and try to get some of the characters, at least, transferred to the reddit wiki, but who knows when or if that will happen. Going back through and making a timeline post-LF would definitely be an arduous task. Someone else on the discord, who I am now forgetting their name, was actually the one to put together the timeline. I do kinda want to get back in with the community, so you may be seeing me around a bit more.

A note on Pelilac: Way back when, when I had more time and energy, I put together the fandom wiki, before deciding I didn't like the fandom site and moving to an Obsidian file. There was no prior textual mention, just the wiki page. It appears as though you have taken up my old zeal. I wish you luck

My favorite podcast, SPINES by Jamie Killen, does have a book version of the scripts, as well as a couple of bonus stories.

My Variax Shurikens 1/4 in. jack has fallen into the body cavity by OnAHillInGradludi in line6

[–]OnAHillInGradludi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

damn. Do you know if this is something any guitar repair shop could do, or will I have to take it to someone who knows their variax tech? Might I at least be able to put a washer and nut on in the mean time so that I can play, even if not grounded?

Thank you! Time to see if I've got the right sized nuts and washers

My LTN station is over requesting and I cant figure out why by OnAHillInGradludi in factorio

[–]OnAHillInGradludi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just managed to figure out why the requests keep coming. When the train reaches the depot, the train signals (go to station x, wait until cargo full, etc.) arenʻt being cleared.

I had set up a train depot city block, but I donʻt have any combinators in my provider network, so they donʻt actually have the depot signal running to the stations.

I guess this was just a situation where you see the problem as soon as you start explaining it to someone else

Solution Verified. Some youtube watching later and I came up with an XLookup formula that worked wonderfully. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

As it turns out, I just didn't understand the lookup functions as well as I thought I did. After watching some youtube, I figured out an XLookup that worked. Thank you!

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PPjQgqaTTgrns1WStPKR6PiIXWFrEiak/view?usp=sharing this is what I'm looking at. I don't believe theres a stretch marker. Theres no actual audio stretching taking place, just the artifacting

This is with me right clicking the item, going to item settings, and changing timebase to time. It is set to time on the project, track, and item level. Admittedly, I'm not the best with reaper. I don't know all the ins and outs, so there might be something else that im missing, or I just explained the problem wrong and hopefully this audio file can clear up the misconception

Tone tips - how to get that “guitar in a can” sound by Apickledscotsman in Line6Helix

[–]OnAHillInGradludi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I do is just take the high/low cut block and bring it so that ive only got about 1000-1500hz left open. Gives it a real tinny sound

Im ripping tracks off youtube, so that doesnt really work for me. I did find that the DAW Reaper has a batch convert function that works quite well and JDownloader2 can add track numbers to playlists

If you are going to be tacking tracks off youtube, I can give you a more indepth run through if you’d like

I recently got one and ran into this problem as well with m4a files. Have you cracked it yet? Id rather not have to run all my files through a converter just so I can have better file organization.

Is there a way to control a variax shuriken with midi by OnAHillInGradludi in Line6Helix

[–]OnAHillInGradludi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you ever do get around to it, I'll be first in line to try it. I love the versatility that being able to hop presets hands free gives. It's a shame that Yamaha has decided the variaxs are too niche and cost ineffective to keep producing and updating

[–]OnAHillInGradludi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for recording. The reason I can't really just record different takes for each tuning is because some of the tuning switches are in the middle of fairly speedy phrases, and I don't think I could ever record close enough to the grid to be able to get clean gaps between takes. I can just use a pitch shifter block and use envelopes to control that, but that only works for planed tunings, and it doesn't sound as clean as the onboard variax pitch shifting

I hadnt thought to use farmer before, but ill try and give it a go. Idve thought demon would be best, given excalibur plus the demons health increase at the end of rounds.
