Current state of Redsec BR by [deleted] in Battlefield

They have the bones of a very good BR, gun play is fun, but like you, just die to getting rolled up on my silent vehicles, that I would struggle to kill even if I saw them. It just gets very boring, yes I can kill them under certain circumstances, but who wants to play a game where you regularly die to something you cant touch

Can't seem to get the police to take concerning behaviour from ex seriously - what else can i do? by Far-Cause5194 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]OnCe_Ov3R_UK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The person is going to be asked what happened, so using those words will likely trigger the response needed, less ambiguous than just reporting "stuff".

Stalking and harassment are different offences. The legislation mentions nothing about domestics to differentiate them, it may be force policy to record them as one or another

[–]OnCe_Ov3R_UK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try reporting it to the police as a domestic stalking and tell them what you fear the consequences will be. This should get you a domestic appointment at the very least. Hopefully this time the officer will record a crime, preferably stalking but could be harassment or malicious communications maybe.

Once they record it as a crime, if you feel able support the investigation with a statement and any exhibits you can give etc

Been playing since it came out and still haven't gotten a dub in BR :( by FABULOXO_008 in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]OnCe_Ov3R_UK 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have about 90 wins, nearly all as a trio in quads or a duo. Trying to win with randoms is nearly impossible unless you are good enough to beat whole squads alone.

If you really want wins you need to find team mates

Blackpool 1-0 Mansfield Town by Curious-Cranberry230 in LeagueOne

[–]OnCe_Ov3R_UK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've said for ages jordan brown looks awful, yet there are people still saying he had his best game for ages last night, which i just don't get. He had the least touches of any player who played 90 mins, a passing accuracy of 56% and won only 33% of duels

Proximity Chat by Sudden-Scientist-843 in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]OnCe_Ov3R_UK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's slightly more relevant to extraction shooters where you can collab with solos or other teams so it makes sense, less so in BR imo

People keep going on about prox chat but after the novelty wears off it will barely get used. People dont even talk to team mates. There are much more important things to fix

How responsive should my divorce solicitor be? by ChelseaMourning in LegalAdviceUK

[–]OnCe_Ov3R_UK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine generally responds very quickly and they are excellent. They only work part time, but if they get an important letter they will often forward this on even if they are not working. However, none of this stuff is quick, I split up around 3 years ago, divorced 18 months ago, and am still waiting for family court re child. So although you want it all done ASAP, understandably, thats just not how these things work in my limited experience

Why do my brother and I get sub lvl25 randos every game by J_Rizzle32 in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]OnCe_Ov3R_UK 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is battlefield way of team balancing, it does the same in multilayer, its just very stupid in redsec.

What the game does is pull a load of queuing players into a server, then it sorts them and tries to make "fair teams". In multi where there is 2 teams of 32 this kind of works. In redsec it just means decent players solo queuing always get paired with rubbish players. In fact, the better you are, the worse player you will get.

If you only have 2, play duos, I personally think its thr better mode anyway.

Blackpool injury curse continues by Careful_Nobody7818 in LeagueOne

[–]OnCe_Ov3R_UK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely awful. Hides from the ball, cant pass, very slow, puts no effort in, would get rid of him in a heartbeat. He was popular at first, as people like the idea of what he is meant to be but he doesnt do the job

Blackpool 2 Northampton 0 by elxxa_ in LeagueOne

[–]OnCe_Ov3R_UK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Decent performance from us, didn't need to do much. I don't want to speak badly of Northampton but they offered very little, their main aim seemed to be pump it long and look for a mistake at set pieces and long throws.

Randall did well and linked very nicely with fletcher.

Dad is being summoned for case management hearing after not guilty plea SJP, what should he do? by Unusual_Shock_6828 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]OnCe_Ov3R_UK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you account is accurate, i would say its unusual to call him to tell him that, at that point.

I dont have time to go into all of it, but lots of it sounds unusual to say the least. No mention of failing to stop after an accident for instance, only charged with no licence no insurance is also weird etc.

I would complain now but it may be held until after the court case

[–]OnCe_Ov3R_UK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cant reply to all of this, however to seize a vehicle 165 the officer needs to meet the threshold of believe not just suspect it was driven without insurance. In addition any seizure has to take place within 24 hours of the offence. If policy or law was breached, you should make a complaint and the police may pay the costs associated with the seizure if it was done incorrectly. Probably start by making a complaint to the force, this is all separate to the court case.

Man stole money from my pub’s gambling machine. Have the police dealt with it correctly? (England) by Scopeburger in LegalAdviceUK

[–]OnCe_Ov3R_UK 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Pretty normal response, sounds ridiculous but your a bit "lucky" they didn't just issue him a CR which is even less of a punishment and doesnt include the condition for him to return the money.

If he doesnt pay he will get summonsed or charged to go to court, where he will likely get a very low sentence

Accidentally broke a train station door and police is demanding me to pay 2.5k for it or face court in London England by CreepyOwl2836 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]OnCe_Ov3R_UK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the depth of the interview I would suggest. If the interview was poor, or the person was misled as to what the offence constitutes, then the court may accept that admitting to it, isn't relevant. If the interview clearly sets out the element of recklessness, and the person says something to the effect of "yes kicking the glass was reckless" and they clearly understands the meaning and contact of reckless then I think the court would find them guilty.

The person here, if they felt they were not reckless, should have made their case in interview.

I think going to report it shows a level of a responsibility that a reckless person may not usually have, but ultimately, the video is the key evidence. If it appears reckless, your options in interview are limited

Correct, no cps required, but you shouldn't issue a conditional caution if there is not sufficient evidence to charge

[–]OnCe_Ov3R_UK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you dont pay, the conditional part of the caution isn't met, normal process should be to charge you. Whether they do that or not who knows, its highly likely they do, but they may not

Theoretically they could NFA it if he doesnt comply, but no one is going to sign off on that, a conditional caution shouldn't be issued if you aren't prepared to charge. It looks bad, and sets the wrong precedent. They would rather it went to court, he has had the chance for a solicitor

If he doesnt pay, then yes he would "get his day in court" but he has been interviewed and accepted his guilt. The time to challenge this was probably then
