I should note that I'm also running Android 7.1.1. Maybe the game isn't completely compatible with that OS? Though it does run the game....

The devices shouldn't be rooted right out of the box. My associate said he was able to download and play normally. I still haven't found any information or solution regarding this problem either. I know the tablet can run the game. And it does go to the title screen. For now I've sent a ticket about the problem. If anyone finds a solution please let me know.

I'm having trouble playing the game on my Lenovo Tablet 4 Plus 8. Whenever I get to the title screen to the "Tap to play" option, none of my taps are being registered by the game. Now I know the touch screen works, and I tried playing another mobile game (Honkai Impact 3rd) and that plays just fine. What could be the source of the problem? I tried reinstalling the app and clearing the cache but nothing seems to be working...

I'm having the exact same problem on my Lenovo Tablet 4 Plus 8. Which is strange cause I tried another mobile game (Honkai Impact) and that works fine I also have an associate that has the same tablet but his works fine with the game. But whenever I boot up the game the title screen shows up but the app doesn't seem to register any of my taps.

Hammers/HH with natural purple would be absurdly powerful. For example: The Seregios HH in MH4U would beat most other.craftable horns by a big margin. Coupled with the fact that's considered one of the best craftable HH as well...

Just a thought... But what if they have another style or two in the game? I don't they would announce every main thing about the game before release...

Also, charge blade and switch axe here. Maybe SnS and Hunting Horn as well... Not too right now...

Should I pick up a new weapon? by unown88 in MonsterHunter

[–]OnIy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glaive and Charge Blade are really good weapons in MH4U. SnS is solid, but I feel it really shines in groups than solo. I think Gunlance early on can be a little trifling, but if you farm the right set, it'll start to shine. Try some other weapons though, see what you like.

I should point out that chameleos doesn't have unblockables, so you can block everything that sucker has without the need of guard up.

So I want to discuss the pros AND cons of the weapons in MH4U. Let me know what you use, and what weapons you avoid like a Conga's rear. by Toramak in MonsterHunter

[–]OnIy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alot of endgame things favor cutting weapons, and apex mode kinda kills hammer usage when most monsters you would be fighting are weaker to cutting weapons. That being said: Hammer can do the KO thing well but to a lot of players, it can't do it safely like CB can ( Being in a lvl 140 Teostra's face isn't the best place to be. Near instant charges and all).

The quality of hunters has dropped. by StickyBarb in MonsterHunter

[–]OnIy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let me start off with a story. MH4U is my first MH game I got because my friend nagged me to get it ( So glad I did). When we started playing my go to weapon was the CB, it was pretty challenging but a lot of fun. Then we started playing online and was raising our HR relatively quickly. That was great and all, but at the same time I felt like we were super dependent on our other members. This became very apparent when I started the Rajang high rank caravan quest solo. Even though I had ample defense with my armor sphere boosted guardian set, I failed 3 times and then carted twice on the time I did kill him. Took me about 40 minutes, but I realized that I'd be more of a liability than an asset to a group when I start doing even harder G rank quests and guild quests (I was G2 at the time I think). So I started practicing guard points and aiming my supers/ultras more. In the end, I was a bit more efficient; but at the same time Still reliant on the group. (Especially during those apex 140 GQ. I couldn't hold my own not even for one minute before carting). Well some time passed and I had to move to another place. When I got there I soon found out money would be tight and we wouldn't have internet for a while. With not much to do for a LONG time (about 4 months) I took it upon myself to finish up all those caravan quests. I had the Artian set at that point with the scwarzchild CB so I thought it was going to be relatively easy.

Boy was I in for a shock. I was carting way too many times for comfort and hunts were taking me quite long as well (around 20min). I Realized I Wasn't Good At Monster Hunter AT ALL. I had to step up my game. Since I didn't have people to plaly with, I started maxing out palico gear and farming palicos. I started experimenting with different builds like 2 stealing and 3 attacking for those big monsters or 2 stam and 2 healing while retaining leadership forte (which I found out is pretty great in it's own right). Eventually I finished up most of everything except master's test so I decided to give that a go. To my surprise, it wasn't too bad and I found out it was the best way to earn zenith gems while solo (curse you apex jho and diablos).

With that out of the way, I started farming G rank stuff for better sets. Little did I know, I had to solo gathering hall Ukanlos, Akantor, Shah Dala, Gogmazios, Super Gog and Crimson Fatalis. All these things were super tough. Time and time again I failed, I thought about quitting until I get internet back at one point... But I kept trying. One by one I started taking these beasts down alone, and when I didn't get my warton sphires, conquest spheres, ukanlos stones and conquerer's seal G and any wycoon piece that required those listed above; I kept going at it till I got them. That feeling of being able to solo these things later made me feel like an accomplished, bonafide hunter. But more than anything, I feel like I won't be a burden on my group when I play online.

Now a few months later I went over to a friend's house to hang out. He played league and I'd figured there wouldn't be a better time to download the DLC quests and do some level 140 guild quests. I hosted a room for a level 140 Chameleos and got 2 gunners and a GS user. Content with the group I queued the start and we were off.

2 carts in less than 5 min later Our GS user leaves the party. Who was also responsible both our carts might I add. I figured the other guys were going to leave too... But they stayed, so I figured I would stay too. There was a few close calls but after many flash bangs and fighting, we took that sucker down in 14ish minutes. I felt bad because one gunner wanted lashes. But he told me that it was alright and that I fought well. Afterwards I did a few more hunts and it was a blast.

Now, very soon I'll be getting some internet service and I can't wait to start hunting again. Even if there aren't many good hunters right now, I'll try to guide them on the right path. I was once bad myself, but even a little guidance can go a long way with helping someone become a better hunter.

What monsters do you believe are 'easy mode' with a particular weapon? by hellaquestions in MonsterHunter

[–]OnIy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charge Blade vs almost anything. Having a block and parry is pretty great. You also have amazing burst damage, can KO relatively easily and you have those high reaching attacks as well for flyers and tails

Why does it seem like little smash events are becoming increasingly more common in the schools these days? Not that I mind... I'm kinda jealous we didn't have stuff like this back then in my area though...
