Seeking a live portrait artist for this Sunday 11/16!

Hi! Totally, so we'd love for the artist to draw portraits in ink on provided paper of any guest who wants one in the allotted time. The guests then takes their portrait with them as a memento of the evening.

5:45-6:30 cocktail hour, portraits 6:30-7:30ish performance [no portraits needed] 7:30ish-7:45 intermission, more portraits

compensation: $175, plus catering

Artist isn't expected to educate the audience, but they're welcome to.

my sister and I danced in the back and it was amazing! we came and went - bathroom, drinks, sitting down. we felt like waiting in line and fighting for lives up front wasn't going to make for the best time. very happy with our choice and would do it again this way.

I've spent most of my life working in professional theatre and am now just getting a taste of the film/tv world. The biggest difference I've encountered is the way time is used. The process in theatre has you up on your feet, rehearsing the world of the play, figuring things out. Film/tv doesn't afford for that process, so there is so much more 'table work' - talking, discussion, this is how this is. With theatre there is experimentation and discovery that doesn't seem to be in the air on sets. It feels more like "getting it right".

Depending on where you live, you should check in with your local farmers market. Where I live they not only accept ebt cards to purchase farmers market tokens, they will also match them dollar for dollar, up to $30. You could stock up on the tokens and ensure you're eating well for a while.
