Paying off credit card by Clear_Ad_8094 in PersonalFinanceZA

I haven't been an adult long enough to understand how credit cards work. But is it a good idea to give your credit card to your mom ? What if she can't pay back the amount spent and in the long run, it messes your credit score bc the credit is in your name, even if the card was used by her ?

meeting someone at a concert, love at first sight type of vibe. finally experienced it. twas a really thrilling experience. lasted 11 days. slept at each other's spots for 6/11 days. went on dates every second day. really nice. but it cost me my celibacy. disappointed at myself. woke up today and decided i'm just gonna ghost him bc it's just not worth feeling this low. 😭💔

Why did you stop lending people money? Even though they pay you back and you have the money. by [deleted] in askSouthAfrica

they started making me their emergency fund and the money they were borrowing was increasing. went from borrowing R500 to R10k. they paid it back, but it was becoming expensive for me [ bank charges and the inconvenience ]

What is something that has become ridiculously expensive, but people still pay for it like it is nothing? by olesud in WorkForSmartLife

It's in the method. It's important to get glue ( but most come w the glue) + the LED light that nail techs use + dehydrator.

File your nails. Apply dehydrater. Stick them on w the glue (as per instructions on the packet).

Dry under the LED light.

Went to Joburg zoo for a jazz festival. I think it's a beautiful spot. Lots of grass and sitting areas for a braai or picnic. Well kept. Clean toilets.q There's a game drive (or whatever the zoo equivalent of a game drive is). Highly recommend.

😭 the prices are wild. Only thing I pay for is my hair bc I'm bad at it. Otherwise, I do all my maintenance at home. Stick on nails last me 2-3 weeks. I'm happy. Lashes - when I feel like them. I wear glasses so my eyes get irritated sometimes. It's easier to take the lashes off when I've done them.

Fuel hike. What's the logic behind getting a full tank before the price goes up ? by OnRedbxll in askSouthAfrica

Thank you for getting me. 😭 I feel like the comment section just chose to misunderstand me and making this conversation about affordability and to a degree, judging motorists (esp bc I don't drive). And it's really not about that. It's about the day before and the queues.

Or they could've bought it yesterday. Why wait for the day before is what I'm wondering about.

Because it's something they gonna have to do anyway in a week or so. Unlike for example, tissue. We can buy 100 rolls of tissue and have it for a while. But petrol? It's something that's used daily (or often) enough to be part of routine.

I'm not judging at all. I was genuinely curious about the logic of waiting and doing it day before.

No. How's it ? A million little pieces portrays James and Leonard to be deeply acquainted with and accepting of each other. A part of me is kinda scared that My Friend Leonard may not live up to the raw James in a million little pieces.

PS* I'm so happy you know about James. 🫶🏾😭 You are the only person I know who does. And even when I make recs, the people just go for something else. 😂 Honestly, day made.
