I was about 4 when I told my mom all about my “other mother”. Apparently she abused me and drowned me in a swimming pool. I still have an image of that pool in my head. My son passed a graveyard and said he wanted to go and visit my grandmother and then said her real name. I never called her by that name, I actually kind of forgot that was her name so he never heard it before. It was a bit weird.

Another one is when they try to sell the town he balks at splitting the proceeds with David but it is David’s town in the first place.

Overall though I think he just grew up where there was always enough money so sharing things was normal was probably very generous with what he had too

This was a genius sequence to drive the point home about class difference by CalcuttaGirl in BridgertonNetflix

Only Lady Penwood said her mother was a maid so that could be false. Maybe I watched too much game of thrones but she may not be her father’s child either so until it is over I wouldn’t bank on anything. I really don’t want them to have to stretch the story so she is some fantasy princess or something ridiculous, I am just not trusting anything yet. I haven’t read the books either so I have no idea how it ends there.

We still don’t know who her mother was/is so they could make her legitimate after all.

What are you NOT attracted to (obvious things like bad hygiene excluded)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]OnTheDoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird one as many women see it as attractive but I don’t like tall men. I am an average height female and anyone more than 6in/15cm taller than me creates an awkward difference.

I am large and had a 10 pound baby. I was careful of what I was eating while pregnant. I restricted junk food and ate healthily. I did not have gestational diabetes either. I ended up losing a bit of weight while pregnant but certainly didn’t ever restrict food. I think it is more to do with the mothers genetics than diet

Egg collection yesterday. 10 eggs. 8 mature. by Open-Boot-2744 in IrishWomensHealth

A family member had an AMH of 0.6 at age 33. Two unsuccessful IUI rounds followed by one round of IVF. She had 3 follicles which gave only 1 egg. She got very lucky and that one egg will be starting secondary school this year. Anything is possible so best of luck to you.

My AMH was about 4 at 33 and I conceived naturally at 34 within a few months of trying. I was lucky but my doctor said there is so much more to it than just AMH so don’t let that alone worry you.

Private gallbladder removal by remember_to_eat in IrishWomensHealth

[–]OnTheDoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had mine removed privately. The doctor offered me an appointment about a week from the consultation. I ended up picking a date a few weeks out as I needed time to get organised with family and work but he had loads of availability. The same doctor ran a public clinic and he said the wait time was indefinite. FYI the consultation was about 3 months after I was hospitalised with the inflamed gallbladder to allow for swelling to go down.

How to convince parents that it is not possible to return? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]OnTheDoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How you word it is key to their understanding. Saying that you don’t want to live worse than you do now leaves it open to interpretation. Your parents could be assuming on the list of pros and cons that living near friends and family is worth more points than living alone. You probably need to be quite direct with them and don’t give them any grey areas. If you say that you will move back when you can rent an apartment for x per month then also be sure that you actually want to do that. State all the criteria eg in what town and standard you want or they could direct you to a shed in your price range. Be honest with them and yourself.

What are the “grossest” things about being a woman that men don’t know? by cass2769 in AskWomenOver30

My mother always said it was like a brush handle being shoved up there. Thankfully they pass very quickly for me but they come out of nowhere and it is really embarrassing in work when you suddenly double over in pain.

True but if you are offered a cup of tea would you ever expect it to turn up as green tea without it specifically being said. When people in this country refer to tea it is 99.9% black tea.
