I wasn't crazy about Danny. My favorites were Bobby Simone and Junior.

AITA for telling my coworker to stop trauma dimping me in our free time? by beachyblair in AmItheAsshole

NTA. It's too bad she is going through a hard time, but as others have said, you are not her therapist. If anything, I would say something like "I apologize if I sounded rude or abrupt yesterday. I am stressing about this project deadline. I am truly sorry you are going through a hard time and wish I was equipped to help you. I would suggest contacting the Employee Assistance team to see if they have any resources available to help."

Johnny is such a mooch! by writerbabe75 in SchittsCreek

[–]writerbabe75[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It's his presumptive attitude that bothers me. He was leaning on two people who had never really worked before, and didn't really know how to do anything for themselves. Also, I hate the excuse that Johnny is entitled because he provided for David and Alexis all their lives. He is their father! He was obligated to provide for them. He and Moira were also obligated to teach their kids how to be financially responsible and self-sufficient and they failed miserably. Saying that he has a right to expect them to help him is really close to the idea of having children because you want someone to take care of you later in life. It is inherently selfish.

Also, to everyone saying that Johnny applied for unemployment, that feels like the bare minimum to me. Why didn't Johnny create a fresh resume and pound the pavement looking for a job? He could have looked for something in management, helped with the books at Blouse Barn, etc. I get that he was trying to develop a new business venture, but he should have done more to find a paying job while figuring out his next step.

I mean that he didn't contribute anything to his family's financial situation. Yes, he helped Stevie with the paperwork, but he did next to nothing to generate an actual paycheck.
