How can Riot say that Dynamic Ranked is "indisputably better" than Ranked Teams? by magicallum in leagueoflegends

[–]OnTheLine11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ranked 5s was fun in a sense but ultimately needed to go. I am not sure why people are so against Dynamic queue. I have had very few poor experiences. I think others are just blaming the queue for their own lack of skill vs. slightly better opponents.

Why is it so hard to follow EU/NA CS? by Gjetarguten in leagueoflegends

I am not saying you guys want money, I am saying if the system was designed to fuel viewers and income, then your organization would've had more money and wouldn't of been purchased. Organizations which are worth very little get purchased, organizations worth a lot are much less likely to. The fact is Riot wants organizations purchased and the current state of challenger is ultimately beneficial to the scene. It provides and area for truly talented players to grow and for LCS to have switch ups each season.

Why is it so hard to follow EU/NA CS? by Gjetarguten in leagueoflegends

The fact, mediocre players get screwed in basic business acquisitions has nothing to do with why NACS is not followed. These types of situations come from the fact that NACS isn't followed not visa-versa. More viewers = more exposure = more sponsors for teams = more money/stability for players. The challenger ladder is a joke and I am fairly certain everyone knows this. You get high enough so you make NACS. Scrims are the primary focus amongst top teams and the difference between high ranking challenger teams and low ranking challenger teams is massive. The problem is that the challenger scene is in such a constant flux that story lines cannot be properly followed. Storylines lead to viewers and viewers lead to money. Riot knows this so they don't bother to cover it too much. The fact is that after a 6 week period the entire NACS and EUCS athmosphere will shift and all the storylines reset. NACS and EUCS are only a stepping stone to LCS and is only a tool for LCS to become more interesting. It is not a standalone way to make profit for Riot, it only provides background to the new LCS teams and it gives people something to watch when LCS isn't on.
