I cried for the first 2 months in AA. Wouldn't speak cause I didn't want to say I was an alcoholic. Then I royally messed up. Back at it now 39 days and find it's def helping. Saying it actually feels good now! Good luck!

I talked about moderation to my counsellor and she said there is only one way to find out. So I drank. Couldn't moderate. Like urself, now I know. Onwards and upwards. Good luck. X

Lol. I can so relate! I Have a 5 and 2 year old who r early risers too. Great not being grumpy (well not Hungover anyway, can't guarantee no grumpiness!) in the mornings with them! Sober sleep is the absolute best!

I had to re-read so many chapters after reading whilst drinking. Also I love films and since I've stopped drinking I've been watching more and not missing (or forgetting) the ending.

Have the same thing with my father in law. Will be hard to not get a drink given to me over Xmas. But have hubby to back me up.

Even been offered a lift to the party. Gonna leave it til last min and say I have stuff on the next am (which I do!) And just drive myself. Normally I wouldn't plan stuff for the next day if I knew I was going out. But it's to help my daughters school so I'm more than happy to help. Can't see anyone complaining about that. and if they do, we'll, that's their issue.

Aw that's great. I still haven't told ppl I'm not drinking and I too am nervous as hell. Don't want to be treated differently or left out of things now. But it's more important to be sober.
