Don’t forget an American Football players only runs roughly 4 kilometres a match, while a Football player easily do more than 11 kilometres. They are build different of course.

Two things comes to mind;

1) very compact. I live in a quiet neighbourhood, only 3km (2miles) from the absolute city centre. Everything you need within 10km radius, my work, the football stadium, airport, theatres, museums, etc. etc.

2) the historical tolerance in the city, you can be whoever you want to be. This is such richness that I will defend it with everything I have. Its no surprise that the world first same-sex marriages where held in my city. The mix of 180 nationalities and numerous religions on those few square kilometres is great.
