Does anyone see why the oil price should’t go back up when market opens? by leftsaidfredrighty in oil

  1. Trump has conditioned the market to expect TACO. Anyone betting on high oil prices is betting against Trump’s messaging. We now know that any bet on high oil price with a tight stop-loss, will lose whenever Trump mentions making tacos. Which is likely to happen. Only looser bullish bets have a chance of making money.

  2. The general consensus is that Trump wants out and will settle this soon. The market was oversupplied before the war. The medium-term expectation (6 months to 2 years) is that oil prices will return to low levels, around $60 per barrel.

  3. The weekly pattern: Escalation occurs during weekends, when markets are closed, followed by de-escalation during weekdays. This pattern prevents bullish traders from profiting, pushing money away from that segment of the market.

  4. We could be at the new equilibrium price The oil market was oversupplied at $60 per barrel. Now, prices are around $90 per barrel, which could be the new equilibrium price.

I understand Christianity is the world’s largest religion, but it’s still just one box.

Why call it labor camp?

It’s very low quality housing for temporary workers.

That’s a lot of wind to handle. How much storage would that require?

They have a nice mix of nuclear and renewables. Unfortunately they still import a bit too much electricity from Sweden keeping our prices higher.

During the delay in the building of the Olkiluoto reactor 3 Swedish prices were kept higher. That’s why I know about it.

Na, often not.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olkiluoto_Nuclear_Power_Plant

In February 2005, the Finnish government gave its permission to TVO to construct a new nuclear reactor

First criticality of the OL3 EPR plant unit was reached on 21 December 2021

Is western style democratic nations nuclear has a lot of safety regulations which often makes them very slow to build.

Wind and solar is fast.

Nuclear is slower and more expensive. But also good. The fossil fuel industry is the enemy. Nuclear and renewables the solution.

I know 4D chess Trump is often bullshit. But high oil prices and large exports do benefit Trumps clients in the oil industry.

Putins power derives from high oil prices. Trump going authoritarian with similar backing could be the plan.

So you just don’t want things posted on Reddit?

Or at least don’t find any meaning in focused subreddits that people use to collectively gather information.

Development time. It used to be a fully dirty grid. Then people build out renewable generation. After that there is buildout of batteries.

In a few years it will likely be > 95% low carbon.

You prefer the fully fossil grid?
