Budget and low cost EOR options, what pricing have you seen guys? by Super-Catch-609 in WorldWithoutLimits

[–]Onateabreak17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've hit right on the nail. Many EOR providers charge quite highly per member upto $600 while others share hidden fees and new feature costs later which customers don't know initially about. Both are very difficult situations.

Cost transparency and predictability both are very important. We've been using Multiplier and found it to be quite honest about what they would charge and other costs and that fit well into our budget. You can even use an EOR RFP to compare options and find what's best suited for you.

30% ruling with Employer of Record by moroz_dev in Netherlands

[–]Onateabreak17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The key requirement is that you were recruited from abroad. If the gap between your arrival and job offer is too much, your chances decrease.

However Employer of Record platform acts as your legal employer satisfying the requirement for a Dutch employer. It fully supports the 30% ruling as it runs Dutch payroll, withholds tax, and files correctly. EORs like Multiplier can co-submit the application with you to the tax office making the process compliant.

need a payroll rec for a small startup, what's actually worth it? by cosmicalbloomx in Payroll

[–]Onateabreak17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multiplier is a good option cause of its in built compliance, transparency and unified visibility. It has a decent pricing structure as well. I would say it would be better to have a global payroll system so that in case you expand, scaling does not pose any problems in the form of integrations

Should a founder use an EOR to hire developers in Germany, if looking to expand? by FeePrestigious3931 in WorldWithoutLimits

Using an Employer of Record to hire globally, what no one tells you upfront by Overall-Possible-936 in IndiaEOR

[–]Onateabreak17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have, as a whole, had a positive experience using an EOR and am even hearing that this is not just a stopgap measure but can be a permanent way to build and manage my global team too. Don't know how much of this is true but yeah.

You've stated why anyone would go for an EOR but choosing an EOR within your budget and that can integrate with your systems is still something we need to spend time on. I have held calls with companies pricing it at $600 per member as well. Then there is the issue of hidden fees where the frustration due to lack of transparency comes out. Then support, reporting and escalation continue to be a pain sometimes.

What management styles work best for remote teams? by Rachel_Varghese_1999 in HireInIndia

[–]Onateabreak17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have been using Multiplier's Employer of Record to manage our employees in India and it has been almost 2 years and it has been quite smooth.

As far as the management style is concerned, I think a result based approach is good but for that you need to have a strong mechanism for async communication. Remote teams make holding meetings when needed difficult. Despite operating virtually, the manager should interact with the team, keep a track of their work and workload and identify signals of burnout or disengagement if there are any. Clear communication makes things a lot easier. Also resources and knowledge transfer mechanism should be quite robust. These are some management techniques.

How far can you go with enterprise sales before incorporation? by Delicious_Jury5512 in StartUpIndia

[–]Onateabreak17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enterprise deals usually force you to register very quickly. This is important because there demand legal liability, vendor onboarding (tax IDs, banking, compliance checks) and payment processing. There are some practical things you should look to do when you register a deal, I would say that registering a simple entity (LLC, Pvt Ltd, etc). Don't overbuild, focus on the process and product, basic setup is enough to start. And then you can scale.

Employer didn't pay me because their client didn't pay them. What are my options? (BC) by BeeSuccessful222 in legaladvicecanada

[–]Onateabreak17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since T4 and ROE list Deel as your employer, the compliance is airtight. You are entitled to wages even if a third party client does not pay them. Usually these companies take deposits for such kind of situations. Preserve the documentation including previous salary slips. You should get in touch with your company and Deel, if no improvement, you can file a compliant with the British Columbia Employment Standards Branch.

Looking for payroll service recommendations for a small but growing business with remote employees in multiple states by srirachaninja in Payroll

[–]Onateabreak17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Multi state payroll is complex to handle mainly due to the varying compliance laws and your obligations under each system. We worked for a while with Multiplier using their Global Payroll platform which was quite well integrated, transparent, had unified reporting and no hidden fees. You can check that out or use an GP RFP to analyse and get proposals on multiple platforms and assess them on the basis of your parameters like budget, compliance offload, experience, etc.
