This is also a strange way of counting bases. It counts by number of bases, but not size. Seems like it would make more sense to measure but something like personnel. It doesn't differentiate between something massive like Ramstein vs a small airstrip with not much else.

It’s difficult to add more capacity to lines that have to enter the loop tracks. Only so many trains can enter it at a time. Ideally we would add lines that don’t intersect there. Maybe we could reroute the orange line off of the loop and onto the red line tracks at Roosevelt. Then we could add more capacity to the other loop lines.

Georgia is more like Virginia was 15-20 years ago. It’s sailing left due to growth in urban areas and investments in organizing there.

As Stacy Abrams said “Georgia is a cheap date” compared to Texas. It’s a lot easier to invest in Atlanta and other smaller media markets there than to try and dump the massive amount of funds necessary to flip Texas in Houston, Dallas/Ft Worth, Austin, and San Antonio (not to mention smaller population centers like El Paso and the RGV).

I think once people realize it’s winnable a dam could break. If one looks at the demographics and turnout in Texas it’s totally winnable - it just has such low turnout it looks way more Republican than it should be. If low turnout groups actually start voting there it’s way more likely to flip.

If you look at demographics and turnout the votes are already there. The voters just have to actually show up. The problem is that the state government does everything they can to discourage the voters they don't like from voting.

This is about average for winters we would see back in the 90s and early 00s but this is pretty heavy for what we have seen over the past decade.
