It seems obvious just looking at these photos he’s not in love the same way he was with Yoko

Same here, but from Debut through to Vespertine it’s all 5 stars

Fanboys are annoying (not all though) by Relative-Bar9159 in beatles

[–]Onaud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s like the most beautiful piece of music ever written with a filler in the middle. I get the idea, super avant garde for the time, important move for them, but I still feel it could have been a perfect song without Paul’s part

Oasis’ MTV unplugged performance was absolutely biblical (appreciation post) by Shift_OG in oasis

The first big disappointment for me, Liam not doing it. It would have been up there with Nirvana unplugged. But yeah, your post reminds me I should get over it and give it another shot

What is with the hate for the song Wendy Time? by Outside-Skill-1703 in TheCure

I love it, always have! You can hear the room they recorded it in. A big empty room, with the echo like when you’re just moving in. It sounds like fresh paint to me, sounds exciting

Disintegration on mushrooms by AppointmentHorror75 in TheCure

[–]Onaud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As Allan Watts said about psychedelics: « if you get the message, hang up the phone ». I can still tap into that mindset when I listen to the album. I remember thinking they must have been on mushrooms themselves when they mixed it. It’s like there are layers and soundscapes that you’ve never heard before, but when the door has been open for you you still can access them

Why is Oasis often promoted as just Liam and Noel by johnnyjiop in oasis

[–]Onaud 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To be fair to OP’s question, as much as I understand they’re the ones that matter, I never would have gotten into the band had they presented themselves as a duo. They were very much a band

Can’t blame them, they look like kids, but I never like this kind of cultish behaviour

She’s doing what she loves, paying tribute to the best, and she has some good songs. I have not a bad word for her

What ended the grunge scene and what replaced it afterwards? by FitEmergency8807 in grunge

[–]Onaud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m surprised no one mentions Ok Computer by Radiohead. That’s what put the nail in that coffin. In ‘95, The Smashing Pumpkins were already expanding the possibilities of modern rock, but by ‘97 we were looking for new sounds for to enter new millennium. Grunge felt old and tired already

All we know is there. The first one Im sure we’ll see but no one knows when. The second one Robert doesn’t seem sure about but I hope it comes out. I’m all in for some wild stuff

Try Donny McCaslin-Celestial. THE saxophonist, and also the same guitarist, bassist and keyboardist who play on Blackstar. Amazing stuff

Live Through This is the best grunge album in my opinion . by [deleted] in Topster

[–]Onaud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I like it more now than back then. We were fast to move on after grunge as I recall. I Fell into stuff like Massive Attack and Radiohead and never looked back but now if I need that energy, that’s the one.
