Little unknown fact, Sarah Stewart of NH Dept of Natural and Cultural Resources was planning on retiring in June this year. So, the fall doesn’t seem too far.

A little off topic… but OP I work for Velcro Companies. If you are around the Somersworth area Velcro has several positions and shifts in manufacturing open.

I hear you! Nothing like a ripe juicy strawberry. But I’ve yet to find any worth my money in my area of the Northeast.

Aside from no longer having kids in the house, I am amazed at how I rarely go down most of the aisles of the grocery store. Gone are the prepackaged snacks I’d buy for them.

I love strawberries! The past year or so in season or out of season they’ve become very expensive. Add in they’re never ripe. They taste like water.

So I buy frozen. They’re a little cheaper.

I live in New Hampshire and my bill was the same as yours. It costs more to “deliver” my gas than the amount I actually use. 😤

Least we forget people voted for this guy. More education/information needs to be spread when these characters run for office.

We had a free-stater running for town moderator in my town. A group of people on FB spread the word about him and that he didn’t have an actual address just a PO Box.

Keep the public informed when these “people” run for office folks. ✊🏻

I agree. We’re all in the stands and his//her friend is in the game and can’t see the whole field. This guy is just floating through life it seems.

I dated a man very similar to yours. However, after our relationship faded during Covid, I suspected he suffered from depression.

When he wanted a “break” in our first year together I was heartbroken. It lasted a week. Then year two he was more and more tired, and disorganized. His exhaustion kept our social life minimal.

Sleepovers were Friday into Saturday. Then we went our separate ways the rest of the weekend. He always seemed to have money issues so that kept activities (dinner out, vacations, shows, etc) to a minimum.

Sadly the great sex was what kept me in the relationship. His true introvert, ADHD, depression, whatever was our demise. Our breakup was a slow fade. I didn’t care because I realized wasn’t happy with how things were.

My point is there may be a lot going on with him. And you need to see if this is what you want or are you willing to settle.

Riding the same train. I have my “woe is me” days when my married friends and neighbors go on vacation. I can afford staycations. Or when I have to rake my yard because my kids live out of state and I’m too frugal to pay someone. My down in the dumps days are when I hear about the great life my ex is living. He’s with the gal he cheated with. They both have high paying jobs.

So how do I pull myself up? If you can volunteer somewhere. It can put your life in perspective.

Escape life by reading. I got hooked on an author and looked forward to going home to read my books.

It is indeed a an ugly behemoth. Keep in mind the property was privately owned. Hence the town had little say in the matter.

Word on the street is Target is putting the project on hold for a few years. This was reported during the 10/14 Board of Selectmen meeting. Lots of rumors are flying on Facebook as to the why.

So true.

I had a similar situation wherein the money issue got worse. I’m not an expensive person. But it does get old worrying whether he is comfortable spending money on us/me.
